Wedding Day
It is finally happening I'm marrying the man of my dreams, everything is happening how I wanted it to happen from the beginning. I'm finally getting my happily ever after. We've been up since the early hours of the morning and it's time for me to walk down the aisle and marry this man.

I walked down the aisle in a beautiful magical dress chosen by my mother in law, it was so modest yet so beautiful and pretty

I walked down the aisle in a beautiful magical dress chosen by my mother in law, it was so modest yet so beautiful and pretty. I felt like a queen walking towards my man in this grown while he looked so sexy in his double button suit. He looked ready to be my husband ready for this commitment.
The Vows
"We are gathered here to witness the holy matrimony of Thulisile Khumalo and Lawrence Maleka, anyone who has an objection as to why these two should not get married should speak now or forever hold their breath" the pastor said and no one objected.
"Can we please have the rings as the couple has chosen to speak their own vows, Mr Maleka you will go first" Lawrence took the ring and started speaking
"We are finally here, when I met you I always knew that would marry you even though you blew me off a couple of times but here we are now in front of everyone I promise to love and cherish you for all the days of my life I can't promise you that I will be a perfect man but I promise to be a good father that Ndalo and Nkosana need. I love you so much Thulisile I have loved you from the moment I set my eyes on you and that hasn't changed. You and our children are the reason I go so hard at life every single day because I strive to provide and care for you guys, with this ring I promise you my life and my heart Standwa sami" he said with tears streaming down his face
"The first time we met I didn't think you would want to date a divorcee with two kids but you proved me wrong you have loved me through my lowest points in life and have continued to fight and prove to me that you are always going to be there when I need you, I never knew what love was until you stepped into my life and healed that broken part of me and have loved me through all my imperfections. I promise to always be there for you , I promise to love you and I promise to let you lead and be the head of the family with me besides you, I love you so much Ntate Maleka" Thuli said putting the ring on his finger wiping her own tears.
"With that being said I pronounce you husband and wife you may kiss the bride" They kissed and cheers erupted in the venue
{Ndihamba Nawe by Mafikozolo started playing as they walked out of the church to the reception}

The happy couple entered the reception hall dancing and holding hands they looked so in love everyone could see how much they love each other. They opted to not have any bridesmaids or groomsman it was just the happy couple and their loved one it was a very intimate ceremony. The couple had their first dance and the wedding party continued till early hours of the morning when they had to take Thuli to the Maleka homestead  officially.
Traditional wedding
This time around Thuli wasn't nerves to go to Lawrence home this is what she has always wanted and she was so happy she was dressed in her Zulu wedding attire as she couldn't wear Setswana as of yet until the grooms aunts advice her.
They got there on time and Thuli's uncles started chanting their clan names
Mntungwa,
Mbulaz'omnyama,
Nina bakaBhej' eseNgome,
Nin' enadl'umuntu nimyenga ngendaba,
Nin' enadl' izimf'ezimbili ikhambi laphuma lilinye,
Lobengula kaMzilikazi
The aunts started ululating and dancing while singing, Lawrence's uncles and aunts came to the gate and started singing also and opened the gate for us while they chanted their own clan names it's was beautiful to witness. Thuli was taken by the aunts to the hunt.
"Makoti we would like to welcome you official in the family, here in our family we have rules that everyone needs to follow and we expect you to do the same" one of the aunts said
" Your new name is Palesa meaning you are a precious flower we picked up in your fathers garden, this attire we are giving you now shows that you are part of the family and you are someone's wife" they said helping me wear the attire

"You must always cover your head and your shoulders as a sign of respect and you cannot look at men in their eyes when you talk to them, respect is a big thing in this family and we believe you will continue and not try to change how things are do...

"You must always cover your head and your shoulders as a sign of respect and you cannot look at men in their eyes when you talk to them, respect is a big thing in this family and we believe you will continue and not try to change how things are done" the aunt said pinning the throw properly on my shoulders
"We are not very big on Kotizing but we expect you help out as you are our daughter and you are not a slave, welcome to the family Palesa" they said helping me up and us walking outside with me in Setswana.
Gonyala ha Maleka kemayemo
Honyala ha Maleka Kemayemo makoti
Hatswe hatswe hatswe makoti
They aunts sang for me as I went to my husband and we danced and had food

It's true when they say your current situation or circumstances doesn't define you and you have the power to change your past. I'm finally happy with a man that is willing to kill for me not kill me and that's just to show that God really does exist
