STELLA'S POV:
As soon as he hugged me, I went numb. My heart started beating faster after all, I love him.
“Mathew? Please…” I whispered.
“Please… I need a hug to soothe my soul,” he murmured.
I didn’t hug him back. A moment later, he let go of me and turned his face away.
“Sorry,” he said softly.
I quietly left his room, confused by what had just happened.
Seriously? Is he changing?
No… definitely not. Don’t fall for this trap, Stella. At the end, you’ll be the one who suffers.
I didn’t know why, but I suddenly felt exhausted. I rested my head on the dining table and closed my eyes.
After a while, I felt cold. I quickly walked to my room, crawled into bed, and pulled the duvet over me.
What’s wrong? Why am I suddenly feeling so cold?
My eyes turned droopy, and soon, I dozed off.
After some time, I woke up still feeling weak.
Ennachu? Thoongi endhirichalum tiredness pogalaye.
(What happened? Even after sleeping, this tiredness hasn't gone.)
I looked at the clock. I was shocked, it was already 4 PM.
Despite my exhaustion, I stepped out of the room.
I didn’t cook lunch. Enna saptu irupaaru?
(What would he have eaten? Oh no.)
I started searching for him, but he was nowhere to be found.
Suddenly, I heard a sound, someone vomiting.
I followed the sound, confused. Was it Mathew?
The noise came from his room. I hesitantly opened the door and found the room empty.
But the sound was coming from the bathroom.
Is he vomiting?
I quickly knocked on the bathroom door.
“Mathew? Are you alright?” I called out.
No response.
Lacking the strength to stand, I sat on his bed. My hand accidentally slid under the pillow and brushed against something.
Curious, I lifted the pillow and found a small packet with dried leaves.
What’s this?
Pakave oru madhiri iruku. Dried leaves vechu enna panna poraru?
(It looks strange. What’s he planning to do with dried leaves?)
Just then,
“Hey, enna panra? Who gave you permission to come inside my room?” he snapped.
“Mathew, are you okay? I heard you vomiting…” I said, getting up and holding the packet.
He rushed forward and snatched it from my hands.
“Unna yaaru ulla vara sonna?”
(Who asked you to come in?)
“Illa… neenga vomit eduthutu irundheenga… adha paaka vandhen. Ennachu dhiteernu?”
(No, you were vomiting. I came to check. What happened suddenly?)
