Mathew's POV:

I went through her Quora profile, and I was quite impressed by her answers. She had mostly responded to questions about bullying, body shaming, trauma, etc. She had even shared her personal experiences in her answers.

Then I browsed through her website, it was similar. She had posted many videos related to bullying and body shaming. The videos had so many positive comments, thanking her for taking such a great initiative. She had even added a helpline option, anyone feeling depressed or being bullied could text the number and find a shoulder to cry on.

Ivlo nallavala iva? Mathavangaluku help lam panra pinna edhuku enna trap panna ipdi?
(Is she really this good? She's helping others so much, why would she need to trap me like this?)

Author: Hello, Mental Hospital?

Mathew: Edhuku author Mental Hospital? Yaaruku paithiyam pudichikichu?
(Why, author, Mental Hospital? Who’s gone mad?)

Author: Unnaku dhan
(You, obviously.)

Mathew: Ennaka? Why? Why? Naan nalla dhana iruken.
(Me? Why? I’m perfectly fine!)

Author: Apdi theriyalaye. Ipo dhan Ranjith sonna adhu trap illa, God's plan nu. Aprm, Joe kuda unna puriya vechan pathadhadhuku author agiya naan kuda puriya vekuren. Adhu trap illanu. Unnaku dhaan puriyala. Adhan unna mental hospital la serthuralamnu iruken, naanum en readers-um.
(Clearly not. Just now Ranjith told you it wasn’t a trap, it was God’s plan. Even Joe made you understand. As the author, I’m trying too, but you still don’t get it. That’s why me and the readers think maybe it’s time for a mental hospital.)

Mathew: Apdi illa author, enna pannalum thappu thappu dhana?
(Not like that, author. Whatever she has done, it’s all wrong, right?)

Author: Adhu thappe illa. It's your destiny.
(It’s not wrong, it’s your destiny.)

I thought for a moment.
Seri, let's take it as destiny. But ipdi kudava oruthanuku nadakuma? How can this happen without her vicious moves?
(Okay, let’s call it destiny. But really, can someone go through this without playing tricks?)

If she likes me, why doesn’t she express it? She never looks into my eyes when I talk to her. She never shows affection. She never smiles at me. Even when I asked her to sleep in my room, she assumed it was for physical reasons.

Mathew: Will you treat someone you love like that?

Author: Just rewind and think how you treated her when she did all this for you. You humiliated her for being fat and told her to eat less. And now you complain that she doesn't show affection? Remember, you threw her gift out the window. Imagine how she must have felt. It’s a miracle she hasn’t left you yet.

Mathew: Well, well… I agree. I was wrong… sometimes. I accept that.

Author: It’s a miracle that she hasn’t left you, still.

Mathew: Who would even think of leaving such a prince charming?

Author: Who’s it?

Mathew: It’s me 😌
