Stella's POV:

I was munching the food I ordered through Zomato, sitting at the dining table. The carpenters had finished their work and were receiving payment from Mathew.

I hurriedly finished my meal, just to avoid facing him. As soon as I was done, I went inside my room and locked the door.

I looked at the door. The lock looked different. I wondered why he changed it when the old one was working fine.

A few hours later, I was sitting on my bed texting Jeni when I heard a knock on the door.

Before I could respond, he opened the door and came inside.

He smiled slightly at me while I frowned and lowered my gaze.

"Ennachu?" I asked.
(What happened?)

"Nothing. Just came to check whether the door is working perfectly or not. Do one thing. Lock it from inside and wait for some time. I'll wait outside," he said.

Paithiyam pudichukicha? Loosu madhiri panraru.
(Has he gone mad? He's acting crazy.)

I nodded and locked the door from inside. After a while, I heard the sound of keys being inserted from outside.

"Tadaa, I opened the door from outside," he said.

Illa, puriyala? Ennachu, indha aaluku?
(What? I don't understand. What's wrong with him?)

He was smiling at me like a cute baby, while I was still frowning.

"Mathew? Are you drunk?" I asked.

"What? In which angle do I look drunk?" he replied.

"Then..." Before I could finish, I held my mouth and rushed to the bathroom.

I vomited into the washbasin. I didn't know what was happening. Through the mirror, I saw him standing behind me with a shocked expression.

"Ennachu? Are you alright?" he asked.
(What happened?)

He didn't come near me at first.

I kept puking continuously, and finally, he neared me and started rubbing my back.

After I finished, I felt a bit relieved, but dizziness hit me. Just when I was about to fall, he held me.

Ever since I was a child, vomiting always made me dizzy and I never knew why.

He helped me sit on the bed and went to the kitchen to get water.

I lay down since I was still feeling dizzy. As soon as he returned, he made me sit up and helped me drink water.

"Ipo ok va?" he asked.
(Feeling okay now?)

I nodded.

He sat beside me on the bed, holding my hand. After a while, I felt better and slowly sat up.

"Thanks," I said.

"It's okay. Ama, enna pudusa?"
(So, what's new?)
