You had just finished a long day of practice with PROMISE when you received a text from your leader, Minji. "Hey everyone, get ready. We're heading to the HYBE building for a meeting," the message read. You furrowed your brow, confused. You knew HYBE was home to a few well-known K-POP boybands, but why would you need to go there?
You shared your confusion with your group members as you all got ready. Sera shrugged, looking just as puzzled as you. "Maybe it's something about a collaboration or a special event?" she speculated, but none of you had any solid ideas.
When you arrived at the HYBE building, you were led into a sleek, modern meeting room. You and the rest of PROMISE took your seats, glancing around curiously. Just then, the door opened, and seven boys walked in, taking seats opposite from you. You shared a side-eye with Sera, and she raised an eyebrow in response, both of you clearly not knowing where this was going.
One of the boys caught your eye. He was tall with silver hair and an incredibly attractive aura. When he noticed you looking, you quickly averted your gaze, feeling your cheeks heat up slightly.
A few moments later, your manager, Jess, walked in with another man. Jess cleared her throat, and everyone in the room turned their attention to her. "Hello everyone. I'd like to introduce Mr. Kim, the manager of these seven boys," she began. "This is ENHYPEN, a very talented boy band."
You and your group bowed politely as introductions were made. You sat back down, your curiosity piqued about what this meeting could possibly be about.
Jess continued, her tone serious. "We've brought you here today because we've come to a decision. Both PROMISE and ENHYPEN are incredibly talented and have shown great potential. After much discussion, we've decided to merge the two groups."
Your eyes widened in shock, and you immediately glanced at your group members, who looked just as stunned as you felt. ENHYPEN, however, seemed to take the news in stride, simply nodding as if they had been informed earlier.
Minji leaned forward, her brow furrowed. "What do you mean by 'merge'?" she asked, voicing the question that was on everyone's mind.
Mr. Kim stepped forward. "It means that from now on, you will be working together as a single unit. Both groups will combine their strengths, and you will be promoting together, releasing music together, and performing together."
You exchanged bewildered looks with Sera and the others. This was a lot to take in. You had never even met ENHYPEN before today, and now you were expected to work with them as a single entity?
The tall, silver-haired boy who had caught your eye earlier raised his hand slightly. "We understand this might be a bit overwhelming," he said, his voice calm and reassuring. "But we think this could be a great opportunity for all of us."
You couldn't help but notice how composed and confident he seemed. Heeseung, you learned his name was, and something about his presence made you feel slightly more at ease.
Sera leaned over to whisper in your ear. "This is crazy, right?" she said, her eyes wide.
"Totally," you whispered back, still trying to process the information. "I mean, we don't know anything about them."
As the meeting continued, Jess and Mr. Kim outlined the logistics of the merger, including practice schedules, living arrangements, and upcoming promotions. It was clear that a lot of thought had gone into this decision, even if it was sprung on you without warning.
After the meeting, the two groups were encouraged to mingle and get to know each other. You found yourself standing awkwardly to the side, unsure of how to start a conversation. Heeseung approached you, a friendly smile on his face. "Hi, I'm Heeseung. I noticed you looked a bit surprised earlier."
You chuckled nervously. "Yeah, this is all a bit... sudden. I'm Y/N."
"It's nice to meet you, Y/N," he said, his smile making you feel a little more comfortable. "I know it seems like a lot right now, but I'm sure we'll figure it out together."
You nodded, appreciating his positive attitude. "I hope so. This is just so unexpected."
Heeseung nodded in understanding. "It is. But who knows? This could be the start of something amazing."
As you continued talking with Heeseung and the other members of ENHYPEN, you started to feel a little more hopeful about the merger. It was still a lot to take in, but maybe, just maybe, this unexpected turn of events could lead to something great.
That night, as you lay in bed, you thought about everything that had happened. It was clear that the road ahead would be challenging, but you couldn't help but feel a small spark of excitement. With Heeseung's reassuring words in mind, you drifted off to sleep, ready to face whatever the future held for PROMISE and ENHYPEN together.

ALSO, I WANTED TO SAY THAT I'VE DECIDED TO CREATE AN ENHYPEN FAN-FICTION BASED ON AN IDEA THAT I GOT. IT'S SIMILAR TO THIS SO HOPE YOU LIKE IT!
