When you take care of your niece.

It was a bright and sunny Saturday morning when your sister dropped off your niece, Lily, for you to babysit. You had been looking forward to spending the day with her, and Heeseung had eagerly agreed to join in the fun.

"Thanks for watching her," your sister said with a grateful smile as she handed Lily over. "She's been looking forward to this all week."

"No problem," you replied, giving Lily a hug. "We're going to have a great time."

After Lily settled in, you and Heeseung decided to take her to the park. The three of you walked hand-in-hand, enjoying the pleasant weather and the sound of children playing in the distance. At the park, Heeseung immediately engaged with Lily, playing on the swings, helping her climb the jungle gym, and chasing her around in a game of tag. You watched them with a smile, your heart warming at the sight of Heeseung being so good with her. His laughter mixed with Lily's giggles created a symphony of joy that made the day even more special.

After a while, Lily ran over to you, her cheeks flushed with excitement. "Can we get ice cream, [Your Name]?" she asked, her eyes wide with hope.

Heeseung, right behind her, grinned and added, "I could go for some ice cream too."

You laughed and nodded. "Alright, ice cream it is."

You walked over to the ice cream truck, feeling happy and content. When you reached the front of the line, the vendor smiled at you. "What can I get for you?"

"Two vanilla cones and one strawberry, please," you replied, pulling out your wallet.

As the vendor handed you the cones, he glanced at Lily and then back at you. "Your daughter is adorable," he commented.

You felt your face heat up, flustered by the implication. "Oh, she's actually my niece," you corrected quickly, your thoughts momentarily drifting to the idea of having children with Heeseung.

The vendor chuckled, handing you the last cone. "Well, she looks happy with you. Enjoy your day."

You thanked him and walked back to where Heeseung and Lily were waiting. Heeseung noticed your flustered expression immediately. "You okay?" he asked, a hint of amusement in his voice.

"Yeah, I'm fine," you stuttered, trying to shake off the lingering embarrassment.

Heeseung raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk forming on his lips. "Oh really?"

You nodded, handing over the ice creams. "Yeah"

The rest of the afternoon passed in a blur of laughter and fun, but the vendor's comment lingered in your mind. On the ride home, Lily fell asleep in the backseat, exhausted from all the excitement.

As Heeseung drove, he glanced over at you. "So, what exactly did the ice cream guy say that got you so flustered?" he asked curiously.

You looked out the window, trying to find the right words. "It's nothing, really," you mumbled, your cheeks growing warm again.

Heeseung chuckled softly. "Come on, you know you can tell me."

You hesitated, your mind racing. "It was just... it was nothing important," you tried again, hoping to dismiss it.

Heeseung raised an eyebrow, clearly not convinced. "Really? Because you looked pretty flustered."

You sighed, realizing there was no escaping his curiosity. "Okay, fine," you said finally. "He thought Lily was my child."

Heeseung's smirk grew wider. "Oh, so that's what it was. Why did that make you so flustered?"You covered your face with your hands, embarrassed. "I mean, it just made me think about... you know, us having kids someday. It was a weird but... nice thought."

Heeseung reached over and took your hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "Hey, there's nothing wrong with that. I think it's kind of cute."

You peeked at him through your fingers, relieved to see his genuine smile. "Really?"

"Really," he confirmed. "I think about our future too, you know. And if it includes kids someday, I'd be more than happy."

You felt your heart swell with affection for him. "You're amazing, you know that?"

Heeseung laughed softly. "I try. Now, let's get this little one home."

As you continued the drive, a comfortable silence settled between you, filled with the promise of a shared future. And as you glanced at Lily, sleeping peacefully in the backseat, you couldn't help but smile, feeling content and hopeful for all the possibilities that lay ahead with Heeseung by your side.
