When you're attracted to him a little too much.

It was a quiet afternoon in your shared apartment, and you were comfortably seated on the bed, a book resting on your lap. Heeseung was getting ready for an award show, his handsome features reflecting in the mirror as he touched up his hair. You couldn't help but stare, your eyes following the way his fingers deftly moved through his hair, the way his jawline looked impossibly sharp under the soft light.

You were so engrossed that you didn't realize Heeseung had caught your gaze through the mirror. The moment your eyes met, you quickly lifted your book, trying to act casual, but the damage was done. He chuckled softly and made his way over to you, his smirk evident.

Heeseung said, "Enjoying your book?"

You nodded, trying to hide the blush creeping up your cheeks. "Yes, it's really good."

Heeseung glanced down at your book, then back at you, his smirk widening. "You're really great at reading upside down."

You looked down and realized, to your horror, that your book was indeed upside down. Flustered, you slammed the book onto the bed and tried to make a run for it, but Heeseung quickly caught you, turning you around with a playful "No, no."

His scent, a mix of cologne and his natural warmth, enveloped you, making you shiver. He looked even more handsome up close, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

Heeseung continued to tease, "So, how do I look?"

You shrugged, trying to play it cool. "You could be better."

Heeseung raised an eyebrow, clearly not buying your act. "Oh, really?" He suddenly lifted you off the ground, his strong arms holding you securely. Your face was inches away from his, and you couldn't help but squirm, your blush deepening.

"Put me down, Heeseung!" you begged, feeling the heat radiate from your cheeks.

Heeseung laughed, enjoying your reaction. "Not until you admit that I look good."

You pouted, trying to turn your face away but failing miserably as he tilted your chin back to look at him. "Fine, you look...amazing."

Heeseung grinned triumphantly. "That's more like it." He slowly set you down, but not before giving you a quick peck on the nose, making you giggle.

You playfully slapped his arm. "You're impossible."

Heeseung chuckled. "And you love it."

You rolled your eyes but couldn't deny the truth. As he adjusted his suit, you watched him with a mixture of adoration and amusement. Heeseung caught you staring again and winked, making your heart flutter.

"You know," he said, adjusting his tie, "I think I have the best girlfriend ever. She's smart, beautiful, and apparently, very good at reading upside down."

You threw a pillow at him, which he easily dodged, laughing. "Stop bringing that up!"

Heeseung walked over and wrapped his arms around you from behind, resting his chin on your shoulder. "Never. It's too cute."

You sighed, leaning back into his embrace, feeling content. "Good luck at the award show tonight. You'll do great."

Heeseung kissed your temple. "Thanks. Knowing you're here cheering me on makes all the difference."

You smiled, turning around in his arms to face him. "Always."

He leaned down, capturing your lips in a sweet, lingering kiss. When you finally pulled away, both of you were smiling like fools.

"Now, seriously," you said, "go finish getting ready. You don't want to be late."

Heeseung nodded, giving you one last squeeze before heading back to the mirror. You picked up your book, making sure it was right-side up this time, and watched him with a fond smile as he finished his preparations.

As he was about to leave, Heeseung turned back to you with a mischievous grin. "By the way, I practiced my acceptance speech in the shower earlier. Want to hear it?"

You laughed. "Maybe later. Right now, you need to focus on not tripping over your own feet on the red carpet."

Heeseung feigned offense. "Hey, I've only done that... twice."

You giggled, shaking your head. "Go get 'em, tiger."

Heeseung winked. "Okay, okay, I'm going. But seriously, I might use your upside-down book trick as a conversation starter. Think it'll work?"

You couldn't help but laugh. "Only if you want people to think you're losing your mind."Heeseung grinned. "That's a risk I'm willing to take."

As he finally headed out the door, he called back, "Oh, by the way, I'll be thinking about you the entire time I'm there."

You felt your cheeks warm again. "Stop being so cheesy."

Heeseung's voice echoed from the hallway, "Never!"

Just as you thought he was gone, he popped his head back in, holding up a bottle of water. "And remember to stay hydrated. Can't have you passing out from all this hotness."

You rolled your eyes but couldn't suppress your smile. "Go! Or you'll be late."

Heeseung finally left, but his laughter echoed through the apartment, leaving you with a heart full of love and anticipation for when he would come back.
