Argument

When he argues with you.

You come back from a long day of practices with your group PROMISE, your muscles aching and your mind exhausted. As you enter the apartment, you pause, noticing Heeseung on the couch, looking visibly pissed. His usual warm smile is nowhere to be found, replaced by a cold, hard stare. You try to brush off the tension, hoping to diffuse whatever has him so upset.

"Hey, how was your day?" you ask, attempting a cheerful tone despite the uneasy feeling in your chest.

Heeseung scoffs, his eyes narrowing at you. "Don't try to act like nothing happened," he snaps, standing up suddenly. You flinch as he makes his way towards you, his movements sharp and angry.

"What are you talking about?" you ask, genuinely confused and a bit scared by his intensity.

Heeseung pulls out his phone, thrusting it in your face. On the screen is a picture of Jungwon with his arm around a girl whose face isn't visible, but from the back, she looks a lot like you. "This," he hisses. "You've been hanging out with Jungwon all day, probably out on a date. Don't even try to deny it."

You blink in shock, staring at the picture. "Heeseung, that's not me," you begin, but he cuts you off.

"Don't give me that crap," he shouts. "Do you think I'm stupid? Do you think I don't know when my own girlfriend is lying to me? Am I not good enough for you or something?"

Tears well up in your eyes as you struggle to understand what's happening. "Heeseung, I don't know what you're talking about. I was at practice the entire day. Maybe Jungwon is seeing someone who looks like me from the back."

Heeseung's face contorts with rage. "You're just using me to get closer to Jungwon, aren't you? You disgust me."

The words hit you like a punch to the gut, and tears start streaming down your face. "Heeseung, please," you plead, your voice breaking. "I love you. I would never do that to you."

"Enough!" he shouts. "I can't do this anymore. We're done." With that, he storms out of the apartment, slamming the door behind him.

You stand there in shock, your legs feeling like jelly. Slowly, you bend down, collapsing onto the floor as sobs wrack your body. The pain of his words and the confusion of the situation overwhelm you, leaving you feeling utterly broken and alone.

As the hours pass, you find yourself unable to move from the spot where you crumbled. The room is filled with the ghostly echoes of his angry words, and you can't seem to shake the image of him walking out on you. Your mind races, trying to piece together what went wrong and how you could fix it, but the hurt is too deep and the confusion too great.

Eventually, you realize you can't stay here. This apartment, which once felt like a sanctuary, now feels like a prison. You call your group leader, Minji, explaining the situation through your tears. She immediately offers to let you stay with her.

Packing a small bag with essentials, you leave the apartment, feeling like a ghost of yourself. Minji welcomes you with open arms, offering a comforting presence in the midst of your turmoil.

"Thank you for letting me stay," you say, your voice hoarse from crying.

"Of course," Minji replies softly. "You can stay as long as you need."

The next day, Minji finds you staring blankly at the wall. "You need to talk to Heeseung," she urges gently. "This is a misunderstanding, and it needs to be cleared up."

You shake your head, fresh tears forming in your eyes. "If he broke up with me, that's what he wants. He doesn't trust me, Minji. How can I go back to that?"

Minji sighs, sitting down next to you. "I know it's hard, but relationships require communication. Heeseung loves you, and I'm sure he's hurting too."

You hug your knees to your chest, feeling the weight of the world on your shoulders. "But what if he doesn't believe me? What if he still thinks I was with Jungwon?"

"Then at least you tried," Minji says firmly. "At least you'll know you did everything you could to clear things up."

Reluctantly, you agree. The next few days are a blur of practice sessions and sleepless nights. Minji does her best to keep your spirits up, but the pain of Heeseung's accusations lingers.

Meanwhile, the ENHYPEN members notice Heeseung's mood. Jungwon, especially, feels guilty, knowing that the misunderstanding involves him. During a break in their practice, Jungwon approaches Heeseung.

"Hyung, we need to talk," Jungwon says, his expression serious.

Heeseung looks up, a mix of anger and sadness in his eyes. "What is it, Jungwon?"

Jungwon takes a deep breath. "That picture you saw... it's not Y/N. That's my girlfriend. She looks a bit like Y/N from the back, but it's not her."

Heeseung's eyes widen in shock. "What? But... how can you be sure?"

"Because I know who I was with, Heeseung," Jungwon says firmly. "You need to talk to Y/N. She's not the kind of person who would do that to you. We all know how much she loves you."

Heeseung feels a pang of regret and guilt. He realizes he's let his insecurities cloud his judgment and has hurt the person he loves most. "I... I need to make things right."

Later that evening, Heeseung calls Minji. "Can you please let me talk to Y/N? I need to explain and apologize."

Minji relays the message to you, but you shake your head. "No, Minji. If he broke up with me, that's what he wants. I can't just run back to him."

Minji looks at you with concern. "Y/N, he made a mistake. He knows it now and wants to fix things. At least hear him out."

You remain firm, feeling a mixture of pain and stubborn pride.
