As you and your group were about to leave the party, Jen's phone buzzed with a message. Her eyes widened as she read it, and she quickly turned to you and the rest of PROMISE. "We need to go to the HYBE building ASAP," she said, her voice tinged with confusion and concern.

You all shared puzzled looks. It was midnight, and there were no upcoming announcements or meetings planned. Nevertheless, you quickly gathered your things and made your way to the HYBE building. The atmosphere was tense, and your minds raced with possibilities.

When you arrived, you were led to the meeting room where your manager stood waiting, looking angrier than you had ever seen her. You all took your seats, exchanging worried glances as your manager locked the door and faced you.

"Do any of you know what's going on?" she asked sternly, her gaze piercing through you.

You shook your heads, genuinely clueless. "No, we don't," you replied, your voice steady but concerned.

"Well," she began, her tone sharp, "the press and even the news have some 'information' on PROMISE using ENHYPEN for fame and opportunities."

Your jaws dropped in shock. "WHO THE HELL WOULD GET THAT IDEA?" Hana exclaimed, echoing everyone's thoughts.

You shook your head vehemently. "We would never use people for fame. We love ENHYPEN—they're our best friends."

Your manager shook her head, her expression grim. "An anonymous tip informed the press and news board that you guys were just using ENHYPEN to get to parties like tonight."

"We would never!" Minji protested, her voice firm with anger and disbelief.

"But think about it," your manager continued. "After you became friends with ENHYPEN, you guys got more popular than ever, even more than BLACKPINK."

Hana, the maknae, chimed in. "Our comeback was around the time we had the interview with ENHYPEN. That's when we met them. It's just a coincidence."

You all nodded in agreement, trying to make sense of the situation. Just then, there was a knock on the door. Your manager unlocked it, and your heart sank when the ENHYPEN members walked in. They looked downcast and definitely not happy.

Jungwon, the leader, stepped forward to speak for the group. "We heard what happened," he began, his voice heavy with disappointment. "And we need to talk."

Heeseung looked at you, his eyes filled with hurt and confusion. "Is it true?" he asked softly. "Were you guys just using us?"

You shook your head vigorously. "No, Heeseung. We would never do that. We value our friendship with you guys more than anything."

Jake stepped forward, his expression unreadable. "Then how do you explain the timing? You guys skyrocketed in popularity after we started hanging out."

"We already had our comeback planned," Jen interjected. "The timing was just a coincidence. We would never use you guys for our gain."

Sunghoon looked skeptical. "But it's hard to ignore the fact that your popularity did increase significantly after we became friends."

Your manager nodded. "There's also another issue. Apparently, AESPA claimed they overheard you guys talking about how long you were going to have to put up with ENHYPEN to get famous and rich."

You felt anger rise within you. "That's a complete lie!" you said firmly. "We would never say something like that. AESPA is just trying to stir up trouble."

Heeseung looked conflicted, his eyes searching yours for the truth. "But why would they lie about something like this?"

You took a deep breath, trying to remain calm. "Because they want to see us fail. They see us as competition, and they're willing to do anything to bring us down."

Jungwon sighed. "We want to believe you, but this situation makes it difficult. Our management is getting pressure from the media and the public. They're suggesting we distance ourselves from PROMISE until things settle down."

Your heart sank at his words, but you kept your composure. "So, what does this mean for us?" you asked, your voice steady.

"It means," Heeseung said reluctantly, "we need to take a step back from our friendship. At least for now."

The room fell silent, the weight of the situation pressing down on everyone. You could see the pain in the eyes of both groups, knowing that this was tearing apart something special.

"But we can't just give up," Hana said, her voice small but determined. "We need to fight this. We need to prove that we're genuine."

Heeseung looked at you, his expression softening slightly. "We know you're genuine. But right now, we need to protect our groups. This scandal could ruin both of us if we don't handle it carefully."

Your manager nodded in agreement. "We'll need to do damage control. We'll release statements and try to find out who spread these rumors. But until then, it's best if you keep your distance."

You felt a surge of determination. "We'll figure this out. We won't let lies and jealousy tear us apart."

Heeseung nodded, his eyes reflecting the same resolve. "We'll get through this. Together, even if we have to be apart for a while."

As ENHYPEN left the room, you felt a mix of frustration and resolve. This was a challenge you never expected, but you knew you had to fight. For your group, for your friends, and for the truth.

Your manager sighed, her expression softening. "I know this is hard. But we'll get through it. Stay strong, and we'll come out of this even stronger."

You nodded, feeling the determination build within you. This was just another hurdle in your journey, and you were determined to overcome it, no matter how difficult it would be.
