Jiae saw a text pop up on her phone in the middle of her classes making her look over it. She regretted looking at it though.Hyunjin
Meet me at the back yard.
You better show up or else I will. She didn't want to go even share a glance with him. But knowing exactly how insane Kwon Hyunjin was, she felt compelled to go. She sighed looking over at the time. It was 6 pm. She literally had two exes. Just two. And neither of them could leave her the fuck alone.
Packing her thing up she went to the backyard. After she got there she already saw him waiting there for him and she had to use every ounce of energy in her to hold herself back when she saw Hana there with him.
"What do you wanna say get over with it fast," she said as she walked up to them.
"Stop playing victim," he said immediately.
"What?"
"You act like we're some sort of demons," Hana added.
Jiae only then realised this was about the paragraph that she sent Hana earlier today telling her they were officially done being any sort of friends and why. And what boiled her blood was Hana went as far as involving Hyunjin into this. She never said a single word when Hana started dating her highschool ex who was out right abusive with her.
"I don't act like it, you both have become that to me," she said, still maintaining her calm.
"You're self victimising again, Jiae. Think this through, you're acting just like four years ago-"
That triggered her. If he dared to bring that up, then she had no reason to hold back either.
"Four years ago? Do I need to go over what you did throughout our relationship too?"
"And yeah fully ignore the things you did? Never having time? Never communicating locking yourself up in your room? Leaving me to overthink every time the tiniest thing that happened?!?"
And did you ever ask why?
She didn't voice the question cause her self respect and rage was much louder than her sentiments. She really, really didn't wanna bring this up. In fact she wanted this specific memory to disappear from her mind for good. Taking a deep breath she replied,
"That never gave you the right to drag me to your fucking house without my consent and- and-"
She couldn't complete her sentence, they both already knew anyway. He gave her a bored expression, "I didn't even do anything for real-"
Jiae slapped Hyunjin. She had dreamt of doing so for years. Right after it she did she felt a sting back on her cheek. Another second later of comprehending what just happened she snapped at Hyunjin with equal amounts of rage as Hana tried holding him back from doing anything further.
"I'm not in highschool anymore if you think I'll sit through your fucking abuse," she seethed at him.
"You really can't...hold anybody close in your life for a reason," He spat and Hana attempted to stop him again but got pushed off slightly. For maybe a split second Jiae felt bad for Hana, but she didn't have it in her anymore to care enough about her to do anything.Jiae held back her tears not wanting to appear weak, "Victim playing? Y'all do that best. Don't make me laugh," she scoffed and walked off. Completely ignoring any calls from either of them. She wasn't gonna listen to their bullshit for even one more second. They could throw a tantrum for all she knew and she still wouldn't give a fuck. Cause as many chances as she gave people, once she was done, she was just done.
All she knew was she was gonna go home and cut off these two without any trace. And also drown in her self doubt. The best thing about being alone was at least you could cry in peace.
