It's not a big deal"- Highway to heaven, NCT127

I don't wanna live forever - Zayn, Taylor SwiftDisclaimer: 📍mature but it's also fluffy. It does have plot elements so I wouldn't suggest skipping the whole chapter but skip the marked parts if you're uncomfortable

"I can't believe this. This is just absurd,"
"Can't say we're surprised though. Dream has to re-ground their positions," Renjun remarked after Haechan had somehow managed to explain the suspicions raised against the seven of them, carefully making sure the cut out the part involving him and Jiae.
"Even so though, shouldn't we just stick to the plan?" Jeno inquired.
"Yeah I don't see why we should give a fuck when we'll prove them wrong anyway," Chenle casually boasted making the six others titter.
"Yeah we'll continue with that- speaking of which," Haechan faced Jaemin, who was lazing on the sand bag chair, "How's it coming with Hana? Any progress?"
"I managed to ask her out on a date," he said nonchalantly, fiddling with a snow globe as he stared at it. Everyone collectively shared concerned glances at his words but nobody dared to say anything. They didn't expect things to progress that fast and one question definitely lingered in the air. Did he still like her? Cause if he did, this mission was going to be hell of a mess.
"Okay! I think we're done here for today," Haechan announced to subside the heavy air growing in the room and the others nodded, filling out of the room to go upstairs, out of their very professional basement meeting room. In other words a eight ball pool table.
Jaemin stayed planted on his seat, though. Noticing his lack of response and expression, Mark paused on his way out, going up to him to place a hand on his shoulder, "Jaem....if you don't actually wanna do this, you can still...back out,"
"No. It's not all that," he abruptly stood up and went out the door as Mark stared at his retrieving figure before folllowing after with a sigh.
Haechan said the same thing when he took up the mission offered by Taeyong, regarding the chip on Jiae, a few months ago. Mark had told him not to do it and to just go talk to her about it through text or some shit. But of course, his ego got in the way and the brunette willingly took the highway to heaven instead of the shortcut. He didn't know what was going on between the two now but he was glad they weren't at eachother's throats anymore.
These boys and their goddamn denial.
Mark thought as he shook his head. To him, this was just another average day of his friends being lovesick and stupidly egotistic.

Jiae had been in the room ever since the embarrassing encounter in the living area, which was almost two hours ago. She didn't even know how to face Jeno after that and the thought itself made her flush in embarrassment.
To cope with it, and to feel productive, she took out her guitar and proceeded to work on her song. She had managed to figure out a tune, melody and paired it with rather depressing lyrics, producing an acoustic-ballad which she's been refining on her laptop. She wasn't exactly all professional and her set up was simple and handy for her to be able to get along with it whenever she had time.
