Okay so, there's a reason I'm updating these three chapters together. These chapters kind of explain a lot of what's going on in the overarching plot. I'll just say this- it can get heavy. Even I needed to take breaks when writing this.

I'm sorry if it puzzles y'all too much but let's get in to some necessary terminologies first

Blue (BSP) party: Left-wing liberal party, current ruling government. Involved in heavy corruption.

Red (RSP) party: Right-wing conservative military rule, opposing government party. Known for being overly strict and mildly fascist

Pyrimites: One of the major leading syndicates, mainly involved in weaponery business. Lead by Yoo Sungmin

Sermanes: Again, one of major synidicates, mainly involved in drug smuggling and human trafficking. Their leader is unknown.

Local rebel gangs: Delinquents and/or youngsters involved in gang crimes. Eg, TxT, Itzy etc

Chaebol: a large family-owned business conglomerate. Runs most dealings of the country under the table 'legally'. Eg. LDS and CHB group.

The Hwajaesago (fire accident) cases: The cases filed against the BSP ministers by the opposing party regarding the fire catastrophes at the university and station till now. Commonly referred to as the '119 cases', named after the organised manner of how both 'accidents' had occurred. The cases have been on trial for months. However, due to the lack of clarity and proof, it tends to get nowhere.

Separation of power:  the division of government responsibilities into distinct branches to limit any one branch from exercising the core functions of another. The intent is to prevent the concentration of power and provide for checks and balances. Where basically, different political parties or the Supreme Court are able to hold eachother accountable, legally, if they see the need to.

- A little context -

Blue party has major support from both the syndicates even though they're against eachother. Simply put, the underworld unites when it's against the over world. The right wing was planning to form an exposé of the leaders of the left wing and their involvement with these illegal syndicates. The Hwajaesago incidents were initiated by the blue party ministers in collaboration with the syndicates, to get rid of any filed or literal proof of their crimes before the opposing party to begins their crackdown. What they did was, quite literally, burn down any possible trace or proof by setting controlled fire on influential buildings. Which subsequently, burnt down thousands of files of evidence against them without any trace. Conveniently enough, burnt abandoned land, also favours ministers as well as gangs to go through with their illegal affairs such as real estate and dealership.

The gangs took this political feud as an opportunity to target certain institutions and groups of people to solidify dominance of power which was a part of their agreement with the blue party ministers.

Chaebol groups are directly involved with the syndicates(eg CHB and Sermanes) and are sometimes forced to take up blame or fight against gang crimes to maintain their position of power and to keep their records clean in the eyes of law.

Essentially, everyone was being an opportunist. Now all of that might sound irrelevant to the plot right?

Except......

Disclaimer: ⚠️Sexual assault

"Don't fucking touch her!" A hazy familiar female voice yelled. It felt like a distant cry as Jiae tried to open her eyes, just to see blurry. Outside, the woman was standing against two tall men. And she herself was....inside? Of something?
