Jiae was done. Done with everything. Her chest felt hollow, body felt as if it was as cold as being dipped in ice water, mind went numb. She couldn't get herself to care about anyone anymore. It was unjust, unfair.
All of this, what did she do to be put in this position?
"Fuck this," she muttered to herself. The raven head tried, really tried to think all this through and 'pick a side' with a logical and calm brain. But all her options seemed was starting to look increasingly unappealing. Everyone. Everyone appeared to be as crooked as a dog's hind legs and as flaky as snow. She was on her own for this one. Actually alone.
No matter how many of these messed up people pretended to care, she couldn't take these pretty little lies anymore. Venom decorated into a pretty little cupcake doesn't make it any less deadly.
It'd been a few hours she'd been in this place. Ryujin didn't leave her side for even a second and it's not like she herself had the energy to make it past this room.
"I'm sorry," she said for the billionth time to the point Jiae didn't even pay much heed to it. Honestly, they could part a river for her and she'd still no longer trust any of them. She didn't know where she was getting the courage to actually plot an escape from there instead of being suicidal.
"I said it's fine babes, don't bother," she faked a smile, choosing to reverse the uno card and be equally as flaky as them.
It wasn't fine really, but she needed to act like it was to have her phone back. Her brain was on survival mode and everything she did had to be deliberate. Daringly, she decided to ask Ryujin for it directly, "Do you have my phone? I wanna talk to someone,"
The girls face suddenly dropped as she cocked a brow at her.
"Who?" She interrogated.
"Not Haechan. Or any of the dreamies. So chill out," she reassured. Jiae wasn't sure of who to trust and even though she hated herself for it, it included Haechan as of now. She couldn't help but be careful when all these people wanted her for what she saw at the fire incident — which she didn't even have proper memory of, fucking ironic.
As of now, the only thought on her mind was to get the fuck away from all this. She wanted to run.
All of you can fuck off.
The raven head's eyes landed on the silver crystal case of her phone which was stuffed inside Ryujin's hoodie pocket. Though reluctant, the girl eventually handed the phone to her. She snatched it away in trimph and immediately rushed her fingers to a certain contact. A contact she knew she was sure she could trust amongst all these fibsters.
Before texting she made sure to shove it up into Ryujin's face who she was texting, to make sure the short haired girl would stop glowering at her. Soon though, the short haired girl's features morphed into a solemn expression.
"Don't tell her anything about....all this. Please...? I don't want everyone knowing this side of me," she requested with pleading eyes making Jiae simply nod. She wasn't going to tell her about all this anyway, the girl would freak out if she knew. She just needed someone trustworthy to talk to. Just to talk. Someone that wasn't using her. Some that wasn't looking to kill her. Someone that wasn't being confusing with her.
Someone she could have a world war 3 with yet they'd still care about eachother and run to one another whenever in need.
"Okay then, I'll leave you alone with it. Just so you know, trigger words could be caught in the radar so don't try to pull anything. I can't defend you if you do, I'm not high up in position enough," she warned and the raven head again, simply nodded. She didn't need to be a genius to predict what the trigger words might be. One of them definitely had to be Haechan.
