After a horrible nightmare consisting of both fire and now newly included guest making special appearances in her dreams — blood. She sighed and went out of the room to feel a bit less suffocated.

She lazily scanned the living room for something to occupy herself with and her eyes landed on something that made them light up. A guitar. It was a guitar that had detailed and pretty pink floral decoration on it's black body, making Jiae wonder why he'd have that. He wasnt the biggest fan of pink. Without much thought, she picked it up and sat down on the couch corner, getting herself comfy. She strummed it lightly but winced at how distuned it was.

Grabbing her phone and opening a tuning app, she spent a good amount of time tuning it. Soon, almost naturally, she hummed along as she played the newest riff she had come up with even though she was unsure of the lyrics she had written for it.

There was suddenly a knock on the nearest wooden table making her look up to see the only other person that was still here at this hour standing there, leaned against the wall with his side.

Haechan's eyes landed on her and immediately darted to the guitar, his expression visibly hardening and Jiae noticed. On a normal day, she'd give him an annoyed glare but as of now, she was still very much intimidated by him. And also, she didn't have the mental capacity to argue. She hurried to take the guitar off her lap, "I'm sorry I shouldn't hav-"

"It's fine angel," he blurted it out even though he shouldn't be fine with it. The florally decorated guitar belonged to the person that he could never have back on earth again and it was something he always cherished as a memory of her. But for some reason, when Jiae turned him with such an expression- in fear, it twisted a knife into him. That was the last thing he wanted and he hated to admit how intolerable her being scared of him felt to him. Somehow, he was more than okay with her playing the guitar if that was to make her feel better.

The girl looked at him again in puzzlement and he curls his lips upwards to reassure her, walking up to the couch. He took a seat beside her and sat with his body slightly turned to her; legs folded up to his chest on the couch.

"You can continue, you know?" He met her eyes who was staring at him like he was a runaway creature out of a zoo, with a blank expression.

"Was just wondering what brings you here," she passively turned back around to the guitar, playing a few notes.

"I....can't sleep," he whispered, closing his eyes to feel more at ease, "Play a song. I miss your voice,"

The words left his lips unbidden but he was relieved to hear her chuckle, "Since when do you like my voice,"

"I always did. The only thing that was never annoying about you," he said with a slight smirk while she snickered and proceeded to figuring out a note for the song she wanted to play.

He patiently waited as the coordinated vibration of the guitar strings started producing a pattern of tunes, indicating it was the intro of the song. He furrowed his eyebrows at the familiar melody.
