Jiae couldn't help her confusion and nosy inquisitiveness. Haechan had disappeared for 'work' after a simple text and it was 9 pm already. The impatient raven head glanced over the text in question again, feeling queasy about it.

She knew she had no right to pry in his personal life if he wasn't saying it himself. Even the little he's told her was rather vague. It was like she knew him but didn't know his life.

Feeling bored out of her mind on a long awaited weekend, her and Mina decided to go out shopping. The girl didn't expect herself to feel as empty as she was feeling without Haechan's constant nagging to be around. They'd often be at the dorm around the same time so it never occurred to her before today how used to she had gotten to Haechan.

Jiae gagged at her own thoughts and was on her way back to her room when she caught sight of someone intently drawing out lines on a piece of paper with incredibly steady hands, hunched over on the dining table. And that someone was none other than Huang Renjun.

"Your art work is amazing," she said as she leaned on a wall, her eyes falling on the wings he was carefully focused on drawing.

Renjun smiled at her but soon the expression turned into one of confusion, "I haven't shown you any though?"

"I've seen the tattoo you've done-"

Shit. Are you dumb?

Renjun now fully turned around to face her, "You know I do tattoos too?"

How was she gonna explain seeing Haechan's tattoo up close? Her brain thought hard on how she could cover up her mistake and fortunately, she remembered Jaemin has one on his right upper arm. Hopefully Renjun was the one who did that too.

"I- I heard from Jaemin. He has one on his bicep right?"

"Oh that! Right! Completely forgot. I did one for each of us,"

Jiae internally sighed in relief as she sat across from Renjun and watched him continue working keenly. Renjun and Jiae were friends through family. Unlike with Haechan, they didn't argue constantly so they grew to be friends over time. Not best friends per say, considering how she didn't even know he did this work.
