Warning: ⚠️ blood and violence

9:30 pm, Busan

The brown haired girl nervously locked her arms with the blond's upper arm, "Jaem, are you sure...you're okay with seeing my father again?" She cautiously asked.

The last time they saw eachother 18 year old Jaemin almost punch him in the face. The boy in question now wore an unbothered expression and nonchalantly nodded as they walked into the extravagant gates of the resort. The beginning of the foyer displayed a royal blue carpet running down the center. The ceiling being much higher than usual structures from the center of which a large chandelier, lighting the hallway in hues of yellow. The carpet eventually led to the door of the main hall which was guarded by two men in black suits with ear pieces and black sunglasses.

Jaemin could feel the two of them keenly eyeing him up and down but immediately looked away when their eyes landed on Hana. The girl flashed her pearly whites at them and the two of them bowed at her as they opened the large double doors to the conference hall.

The blond took a hot minute to scan the entire hall as they trudged forward to the booked seat at the very front. The pair took a seat while Jaemin was busy trying to locate Mr.Bang with his eyes.

"Jaemin," Hana called and that made him snap out of his trance and turn to her, eyes automatically softening, "Hmm?"

She was wearing an unreadable expression while her eyes depicted a strange sense of melancholy. One Jaemin didn't fail to catch.

They stared at eachother for a few solid seconds and he could swear for a minute he felt the urge to run out of there, with her. To just run away and forget all of this. But just like how it was back then, once again, it was unrealistic. It wasn't possible.

They broke their stare hold only when the lights started dimming to display the projector and the announcer went up to the podium. Formal claps ensued from around them but Jaemin's eyes fixated on the man dressed a in neatly ironed blue suit set. The conference began and so did the uninteresting explanation regarding developing a piece of land that they didn't even have official ownership over yet.

Just when he was about to press on his earpiece he felt a weight on his shoulder. Jaemin froze momentarily and slowly looked down to see the yawning girl. He shook his head as he looked away and soon enough the lights turned back on. Low chattering ensued around them and the couple quietly stood up. Jaemin sent Hana a confused a frown but the music that had started playing in the background made it harder for them to hear eachother. As Jaemin followed her side by side, the girl moved closer to say, "It's suffocating in here. I don't wanna answer their ques-"

A waiter almost bumped into her to which he reacted instantly by pulling her waist closer. The waiter met eyes with Jaemin and evidently broke into cold sweat at the sight of the blond. He bowed at the two of them while Jaemin squinted his eyes when his eyes spotted something. The waiter had a few drinks on the tray. As an excuse to observe further, he pretended to take two glasses of drinks from the tray. He cautiously took both wine glasses in his hands, and there it was, a clearly engraved Sermanes tattoo peaking out of the collar of the white shirt o the waiter. He broke into a big, signature shit eating grin at the waiter who hurriedly turned to leave at his expression. He looked back towards Hana and handed her one of the glasses. She froze when she realised the approximity. But neither of them pushed eachother away, instead, they continued walking with his arm around her waist.

Might not be as hard as I thought it'd be.

"This is worse than lectures back at school. How do you survive these?" He chuckled as they stepped out the balcony.

"Don't even get me started," she airily chortled, rubbing her arms as the shivering breeze hit her skin, raising goosebumps. He hummed in response and took a sip from his drink. He didn't actually drink it though; he didn't trust anything in here. They let the silence engulf them as she mirrored his action. He rested his elbows against the railing, careening his back to it.
