It's no secret men and women act differently when they're with their respective genders. Not vastly different, but in the way they speak and talk, definitely. With the opposite gender, there's well, ego, respect and various other things involved. And that's without considering the obvious literal differences between the genders.
It creates a communication gap. A gap that can't be simply filled in. So the unhelpful solution to resolute to is to rant to your same gender peers.
Cause humans really love making their lives harder. Just like these four.

"I kissed Jiae,"
"You...you what?!"
"I don't fucking know man. I shouldn't even be thinking about it,"
Haechan smacked his lips and threw the now empty beer can into the trash, not before he crumbled it with his bare hands. He moved to the floor with Mark, his back against the side of his bed as his hands reached to open another can.
"Is it awkward or something now?"Mark asked tentatively after processing the information.
"No we both act like it never happened,"
"So...what's the problem here?"
"The problem is our room has become a fucking battle field," Haechan twisted open the metal ring of the can and Mark looked at him rather puzzled,
"Wasnt it always one?" Mark blinked at the brunette.
Haechan scoffed at him, "It's worse now. Bad enough for me to get ticked off,"
Mark examined his expression carefully and chuckled, "You know if you like her you can just tell her,"
Haechan rolled his eyes, "I don't like her. Where is that even coming from? It would've been easier if I did than whatever this is," he gulped down a few sips of his beer right after he spoke.
"Yeah so what's this? The last time I checked you found her annoying and you both were ripping eachother's hairs apart,"
"I still think she's annoying, if that wasn't obvious enough,"
"But...what's changed?"
"She's...well.."
"Do you find her pretty or some shit?"
"That's too soft. Hot, maybe," he said defensively, not wanting Mark to spiral back into the 'you like her' tangent.
"But you...just kissed? nothing more? Isn't that too 'soft' for you?" Mark humoured, referring to his friend's words.
"That's only cause she's Jaemin's precious 'cheesecake'" he said with a mocking tone on the last word. He felt weirdly frustrated that it didn't go anywhere and couldn't help but wonder if she felt the same. Mark pointing out the cause of his frustration really wasn't helping here.
"Still, if an adult woman wants it then how does her cousin matter,"
Haechan glanced over to his friend, "That's the fucking problem. She pulled away and ran into the washroom. The next morning she just started throwing curses at me at every chance she got. Man I apologised what more do you want from me? If she wants to fuck she can just say it instead? What's so hard about saying it?"
He let his head fall back again in vexation.
