6 year old clueless Jiae had been told they had to urgently go to the Lee's place. The door bell was rung on the maroon coloured wooden door to the house she knew really well from visiting them so often - almost every weekend. The door swung open and unlike the unchanged exterior, the interior seemed to be turned upside down. Everything was disorderly and all over the place. Boxes were stacked on top one another, packed away items inside them. It made the girl frown, because this was not exactly how she remembered the last time she was here. Which was only a week ago.
With confusion, she peered up at her dad who's hand she was holding on to. Her eyes darted to how her mother and father were greeting Mr.Lee with tense faces, talking about things that her little mind had no comprehension of.
"I don't want to!" They heard a high pitched protest from a child inside the kitchen.
Hyuck?
"Donghyuck! baby please....it's already decided-" Mrs. Lee's voice softly tried to get to his son to calm down but it was in vain.
"No!"
The stubborn boy extended his tantrum by dashing off into his room, away from his mother who walked into the living room to see her friends with weary written all over her features. Jiae didn't really understand anything but she saw the sprinkle of tears on the boy's eyes as he ran to his room. And that was enough to make her release her father's hand and run right after him.
The girl with two ponytails came to his room room slowly and saw the boy sniffling in a corner, making her pout. She never actually saw her playmate cry before. He was usually always cheerful so it tugged at her heart a bit. She went and sat beside him, poking him with exactly one index finger to make him look up.
"Go away," He muttered but she didn't budge and silently sat there. Finally, she said something after a few minutes went by,
"Why are you crying, Hyuck?"
The boy slowly looked up with teary and puffy eyes, surprised she was still there. That never really happened. If he asked anyone to go away they'd just leave him alone because his tantrums were just that bad. He blinked at her and then pouted.
"They.....wanna go away from here," he sniffed in a sad tone.
That was the simplest way a six year old could explain the situation. They were moving to their hometown in Jeju for the time being, due to some issues with their business. And let's just say the boy was not really ecstatic to suddenly leave everything he always knew behind.
The raven head didn't know what to do with that and neither did she understand what he meant. Truth was, he didn't either. They were too young to understand any of that. So she just did with her brain could think of. She wrapped her small arms around him in a hug and his pout deepened to a cry at the gesture.
