In their moment

The four hour drive was nearly over and it felt shorter than it really was. With music blaring their speakers and Mina yapping away beside Jiae about the tea she had missed out on- it was safe to say there wasn't a lack of entertainment. Haechan and Mark alternated the drive if needed while Chenle and Jisung gamed away on their phones, Dalbyeol yelling at the pair for being too loud but still playing with them too. The rest were in the other car.

As the car passing through a range of lush forest, it slowly came to a halt. The doors opened and Mina excitedly dragged her out of the car with a laugh while the boys went to get the luggages.

The fresh breeze and mellifluous scent of saltwater- she knew it all too well. It might not be her home town, but she'd always had a thing for how the mountains and beach met in an odd harmony of nature. It contrasted the metropolitan and corporate air that always surrounded them back in Seoul. This, serene, calming sound of the waves playing near the shore, the trees providing a shelter from the glowing sun, cleansed off her soul.

"I haven't been here in ages!" Mina exclaimed and Jiae chuckled at her childish smile. Mina had always been a city girl. And even though Jiae had studied and lived in Seoul for most of her life too, she'd often visit Busan. Her bliss itself was quite near the beach, so this, wasn't as foreign to her as it was to the shorter girl.

The pair started walking inside the little farm house they managed to rent together. It wasn't quite little, but cozy for fitting thirteen people. Yes thirteen, somehow their small trip ended up with the dreamies joining, then Mina, when Mina joined so did all her other friends and Dalbyeol.

As the girls all gathered in the living area, the guys plopped the bags in the center.

"I swear what are you guys even carrying in there?! Rocks?!" Renjun complained and threw himself on to the couch.

"You won't get it," Jiae rolled her eyes at him playfully but another voice yelled out as he entered the room.

"No but he's right we're only here for about a week, hell, what's all this?!" Jeno flashed the girls an annoyed expression and joined Renjun on the couch.

"Mark never complains," Mina flexed and did a dramatic hair flip.

"He doesn't complain cause he doesn't know how to! Sorry some of us aren't hopelessly obsessed with a girl," Haechan walked in with Mark who rolled his eyes at Haechan's animated comment.

"You aren't?" Jiae whispered with a brow raised when they were close enough and he just jokingly scoffed at her before walking up to the two boys on the couch. He was talking like he didn't just arrange this entire thing for her and wasn't carrying around Haeji's pink-red hello Kitty bag on his shoulder. He was obsessed, but unlike Mark, he wouldn't admit it.

"You're very obsessive though. I fear for Jiae," Jeno remarked and Haechan crashed on the seat in between him and Renjun with an exaggerated sigh, intentionally taking up more space than necessary to annoy them.

Jiae, for a split second, seeing Haechan and Jeno, ended up recalling the encounter from earlier this morning with his other family members. It bugged and irked her brain. She tried her best to shove the thought of it away but she just couldn't.

Four hours ago, 8:07 am

The white blinds did a poor job at blocking out the sunlight, the rays leaking through the paper thin curtains. It illuminated the room in warm hues of yellow, casting shadows of shapes on the other end of the white wall.

Jiae blinked her eyes open, feeling her back pressed to a bare chest and the weight of a pair of arms wrapped around her from the back that belonged to none other than her fiancé. The events of the previous night flashed across her mind, making her momentarily bite her lips as she glanced over to the man that had a beautifully tranquil resting face. The light gleamed onto his tanned sun kissed skin, the strands of his bangs falling aside to reveal a little of his forehead.
