It was lunch break and the cafeteria was buzzing with hungry students chattering and some hurrying in or out. Haechan, as per usual, arrived at the dreamies' table but slowed down his pace when he realised the only seat unoccupied was beside Jaemin. It had been three whole days since the two last spoke and Haechan had a feeling this was set up intentionally by the rest of their seemingly dubious friends. He didn't say anything and slipped into the seat beside Jaemin.

They both didn't speak, look at or greet eachother, sitting an awkward distance apart. The problem with them was they were two sides of the same coin. Which meant both of them were equally stubborn. Silence took over as nobody dared to speak, just going on about with their food. This was probably the most silent their table had ever been given their considerable track record of getting kicked out of the cafeteria a few times for being too loud.

Renjun, the all time spokesperson of their group tried to break the ice, "So....are we gonna like...talk?"

"No," the duo replied simultaneously and there was a pregnant pause again. Which was then broken by a group of noisy students across their table laughing and clapping, conversing something their table overheard. Not that they were being too subtle about it to begin with.

"Gotta admit her lingerie choices are nice," a girl laughed out as another guy replied, "Now that we've already seen her, would she let us hit on her? I mean what does she have to lose,"

"I bet she recorded that herself,"

"Some people just really like playing victim, have you heard about her and Hana? As if she could write that! it's clearly professional,"

Everyone on the quiet table paused like some sort of still life. They all cautiously sent concerned glances over to Jaemin and before anyone else could even react,

"It's so pathetic honestly-"

Haechan stood up with a loud bang on their table, garnering their attention, "What's pathetic? Being a victim of a crime is pathetic?" He said as he craned his neck around intimidatingly. The canteen started growing silent, dropping to a few whispers only. Haechan was known to be unreactive but scary so when got out his seat for something, it definitely gained attention.

A guy from the other table, who was now identified as Minyoung, stood out of his seat as well, laughing with a tinge of satire, "As if we're believing what a slut has to say,"

The silence was deafening as the brown haired rolled his tongue inside his cheek, his eyes going considerably darker. Minyoung smirked the tension between the two was palpable enough to make both tables stand up. "Say that again," Haechan spoke calmly and slowly.

Minyoung raised a brow even though some his friends, girls and boys both, were signalling him not to.

"Why are you even acting all hero when you're the one who most likely did this any wa-"

He landed straight on the floor with a punch. Minyoung didnt just sit back and grabbed Haechan's shirt roughly enough to bruise his neck. He tried tackling him down but it just grazed him for a bit and when I'm the blink of an eye, before he could even read his movements he was already pinned to the floor, earning a few gasps. After that they were both pulled apart before it got any worse.

"Your guilt is showing Donghyuck," Minyoung provoked him again while panting but Jaemin placed a hand on Haechan's shoulder who was also a little heavier than usual from the fight.

"He didn't do nothing. Don't talk about what you don't know," Jaemin said but Haechan was suddenly more focused on the hand he had on his shoulder.

Jisung, Chenle, Mark and Jeno started dragging the two of his friends away or else Jaemin might as well join in on the fight. And if Jaemin started, there was no preventing someone getting severely injured. Renjun was about to leave too but lagged behind just to add,
