10th x 11th grade yearly excursionThe breeze that day was of as perfect as it could possibly be, the sky was painted in hues of light orange swirled into the clear baby blue, indicating it was soon going to be sun down. They had already made two stops, first at a historical site and then at an amusement park. This was their final destination before they'd go back home, a park which happened to have an picturesque view of the sunset.
The teachers and a few senior volunteers were helping set up two stands to help students with some snacks. Meanwhile Jiae and her five friends decided to bundle up on their little mat, on the the weirdly healthy green grass. Or maybe that day Jiae just saw more colour than usual. Soft music accompanied the sound of nature and the river banks glistened against the breaking colours of the sun.
Mina had her head on her lap while Jiae herself was leaned against Hana's folded legs, who was laying down, curled up on the mat. The two boys sat in front of them as they all chattered away. All of them were famished and exhausted from the entire day of running around yet they still felt whole.
"Can't believe this is the last excursion," he said melancholically.
"Next year's graduation Bami," Jiae reminded him and a pout formed on her own lips to which the boy secretly smiled. "Why your gotta remind me you guys will leave me in this hell hole for a year Beomgyu?" Mina scoffed at the light brown haired boy and he just shook his head with a laugh.
"She even used my real name guys," Beomgyu joked, trying to not get into the depressing topic too much.
The banter continued until suddenly, a brown plastic material was thrown in between Hana and Jiae. While Hana screeched at the plastic cockroach toy, Jiae furrowed her eyebrows and shot her eyes at the direction to be met with two boys running away.
The coconut head and his friend. Of course it's them.
Before anybody else could comprehend anything, Jiae was up on her feet and already dashing after them. They ran along the river side pedestrian until the boy stopped, thinking she would have lost him by now.
Well Haechan thought wrong.
Jiae did indeed catch up to him and grabbed his by the neck, holding him down on a headlock to her shorter height.
"Oh my god it's just a prank you goddamn demon!" He yelled out, squirming under her grip. She continued to glare at him though she did let go of him, not wanting to suffocate him to death in public.
"You're so annoying! Why'd you have to ruin the moment," she hissed at him.
"Why are you getting so aggressive for fucks sake!" He argued back as they both faced eachother,
"Right, what'd you get about having a moment," she took an intimidating step closer.
"It's literally not that deep," he rolled his eyes and stepped closer too; one more step and their faces would touch yet all they wanted to do was scream into eachother's faces.
"Nothing is deep for you,"
"Sorry, nutjob, I actually know how to have fun,"
"You just know how to be insufferable,"
"You're not any less-"
"Both of you, detention, tomorrow,"
Their teachers voice brought them back to reality as they both turned to her with a shocked expressions.
"He started it!"
"She made a big deal of nothing!"
The two turned to eachother again with rage in their eyes but their friends appeared from either sides to pull them away. The teacher just sighed and walked away.
