The Titans along with Nightwing and Batgirl met back up in the Batcave after the confrontation with Red Hood and Joker. Batman had sent Nightwing to bring Jason to the cave for further questioning, where he now sat in an empty, secluded room with the door closed. Meanwhile, the Dark Knight took the liberty of processing the Joker for medical attention and to return to his incarceration.
Peter sat in one of the spare chairs by the computer with Nightwing and Raven in the other two. Meanwhile, the others leaned against the various tables nearby, while they all talked.
"So..." Peter began, staring across the cave through the window to the interrogation room, watching as Jason stared begrudgingly into space. "Has he said anything?" He asked, looking over at Dick.
"Not much..." Dick shrugged. "I managed to talk him down... mostly I think he just knows he had no way of escape."
"After all this time... he really has NOTHING to say?" Barbara wondered aloud.
"That's probably not it." Kate shrugged. "He probably just has a lot goomg through his head."
"She's right." Dick nodded, folding his arms with a sigh. "It's obvious that this is all about him and Bruce."
"Probably a lot to unpack." Raven added plainly.
They all paused and turned their heads to look through the glass window at Jason.
Starfire gave an empathetic look. "Poor Jason..."
Tim looked off at that with a pensive gaze, deep in thought and Peter noticed this. From what he knew about his student, it didn't take much to understand what he was probably thinking. Jason was his idol, and one of the major reasons that Tim became Robin. Now, to find out that he was also the same person who attacked him, probably stung to the boy wonder.
"I REALLY don't know how we're gonna convince him to come back after this." Dick sighed with a shake of the head.
Peter nodded at that, looking into the room for a moment longer in thought. Seeing the former Robin in there sulking by himself made him feel even more sorry for him than he already did. Though, ultimately, this issue remained between Jason and Bruce, Peter wasn't sure how well the Bat would be able to do such a thing. Jason, certainly didn't seem like he had forgiven him at all.
So maybe a third party perspective would help.
Or at least, he hoped it would.
"Well we're definitely not helping by just leaving him in there by himself." Peter sighed as he stood up from his chair. "I'm gonna go and talk to him."
"Uh, Bruce told us not to go in there." Tim noted.
"Don't worry." Peter replied with a scoff as he backed towards the room. "I'm not gonna piss him off. We aren't fighting, after all."
"Good point." Dick chuckled.
"Is he serious?" Batgirl mumbled to Dick in confusion.
"He likes to help." Dick shrugged with a playful whisper.
"More of an impulse at this point." Raven joked sarcastically.
Peter made his way up to the door and peered through the window at Jason, who didn't bother looking. Slowly, Peter opened the door and poked his head in, before knocking.
"Knock knock." He greeted.
Jason rolled his eyes with a sigh and folded his arms. "You AREN'T gonna get me to finish that joke." He retorted.
"Nah, it's fine." Peter waved it off with an amused grin. "There's always later." He quipped as he sat down across from him and slipped his mask off.
Upon seeing Peter's face, Jason gave a confused look.
