Peter and the rest of the Titans went with Beastboy further into the city after that, with the trail left by the demonic flaming creature quickly vanishing before they even had a chance to pick up the trail. Even more disturbing than that, along the way, when Peter would look for any sign of Slade's body, he couldn't find so much as a single piece of torn clothing, with anything left in the creature's trail of fire being instantly burned to ash. About half way through the city, the trail of fire that tore through the asphalt suddenly halted, then when Beastboy went to try and sniff it out again, he couldn't detect any trace of it.

So, now, the Titans gathered around a secluded warehouse, where both teams sat around processing what happened, with most of the members still in shock. Most of them were bewildered by the sheer power and ferocity the creature had, coupled with how suddenly and swiftly it appeared and tore Slade down. The only thing left behind, being the black and orange mask that Peter retrieved from the scene. While, the other sat around, getting their bearings, Peter used his spider-bots to back the computer components inside Slade's mask in order to get more intel, however it was mostly just something to do.

His mind was elsewhere.

All he could think about was how quickly they came to losing any of the three of them, whether it be Peter, Raven, or May. Normally, based on what Peter knew about Raven's power, he had the utmost confidence in her. However, the look on Raven's face gave him the strangest sensation that Raven didn't feel the same this time.

He looked over at them, sitting by themselves in the corner with their eyes closed in a meditative position, though, he could tell both of their hands were still shaking. He wanted to try and comfort them right away, but he figured letting them meditate for now was the best call. Though it was hard to hold himself back; he wanted nothing more than to make Raven feel better, and also to get some answers as to the exact nature of that creature.

Why did it spare them?

What if it came back?

All questions that nearly gave him a headache just thinking about it.

He needed to know.

So he quietly crouched down behind her and delicately tapped her on the shoulder to get her attention. Raven slowly opened her eyes and glanced at him, before quietly standing up. Then they walked a few feet away so that they wouldn't disturb her.

"Hey..." Raven said with a bit of a forced smile.

Peter noticed this and gave her a sympathetic look. "Hey... How you doing?"

Raven looked at him for a moment hesitantly, before glsncing down at her feet and giving a defeated sigh. "Not gonna lie... still a little shook up." She shrugged. "But getting better."

Peter nodded at that, then leaned over to glance briefly at May, then gestured to her. "What about her?"

Raven paused for a moment with a pensive look, then glanced back to stare at her for a moment in silence. Then she gave a sigh and turned back to Peter.

"She's... pretty scared." Raven shrugged. "I can feel most of her emotions pretty clearly now." She replied with a thoughtful, yet grim look. "I can feel the remnants of a psychic block that used to be there."

Peter raised an eyebrow at that. "You think the future YOU did it?"

Raven nodded at that. "I would imagine." She replied with a saddened look. "But... it seems that whatever the future me did to help her control her powers... it seems that seeing that thing was terrifying enough to break it."

Peter's eyes widened with a worried look. "So... what you're saying is?..."

Raven nodded silently, then they both turned to look at their daughter, who was still meditating in full suit and mask with her back turned to the rest of the room in the corner.
