It was nearly midnight when Peter and Starfire finally reached the Hall of Justice. With the unmistakable city skyline of New York City slowly appearing over the horizon. Seeing it again after so long was a nostalgia trip of its own. Even though, nothing he remembered would be there, a part of him still imagined that if he walked into its streets he could still find his favorite deli right where he left it. Such things were merely left to the imagination at this point, and he didn't mind that so much.

He had made it out of nothingness itself. A lot of the things he held dear weren't around anymore, even the Titans weren't a team anymore. Sad as it was, he knew the only way forward from such things was to build skmethin new. As his eyes adjusted to the lights outside the Hall of Justice, he soon came to realize just how tired he really was.

As Starfire landed the Titans Jet, he could see the Batwing parked right next to them. Batman was already her, which didn't surprise him. Though, he had a strong gut feeling his reunion with the caped crusader wouldn't be quite so heart felt.

"We're here!" Starfire chimed, shaking Peter out of his sleepy haze.

"Huh?" He shook his head, regaining his senses.

"Ready?" She asked with a concerned smile.

Peter yawned deeply and stretched out a bit. "Yep..." he yawned again. "Ready is my middle name."

Starfire chuckled and shook her head jn amusement as she opened the cockpit. "No it is not."

Peter unbuckled his seatbelt. "No seriously." He quipped as he lept out of the cockpit onto the grass. "Peter READY Parker." He joked sarcastically.

"I'll be sure that's added to your file." Starfire laughed in amusement, then waved him to follow her. "Come on."

Peter nodded and stuffed his hands in his pockets, looking around at his surroundings with a nostalgic smile. He spun around, walking backwards as he kept looking around. Thats when he got a strange feeling up his spine.

Not a danger feeling.

More like a feeling of being watched.

He stopped in his tracks and his eyes instinctively lifted to the roof of a building across the field. He peered into the distance as he began to see the sillhouette of a figure crouched down on the rooftop across the street. Though, he couldn't make out any details. He then got the idea that maybe Starfire would be able to see it better, so he turned and looked back at her.

"Hey Star!" He called.

The alien girl stopped and looked back with an eyebrow raised.

"Hmm?" She replied.

Peter turned and pointed. "What is..." he stopped as he peered into the distance.

The figure was gone.

Starfire flew over to him with a concerned look. "What is it, Peter?"

He threw his arm up. "Eh, I thought I saw someone. Then they disappeared," henturned around and continued toward the door with a sleepy yawn. "Probably a supervillain... or Batman, I don't know."

Starfire peered into the distance with a confused look, then looked back at Peter even more confused. "You do not seem bothered by that." She noted as she flew to catch up to him.

"Meh, its kinda pointless to try and control everything." He shrugs with a sleepy yawn. "I'm just gonna take everything one day at a time."

Starfire was caught off guard by his words and was silent for a moment. "...you seem different. A good different." She nodded.
