Peter swung through New York City for the first time in literal years. Though, he knew he was in a different universe, it still felt he was coming back to the place he grew up. The smog filled sky over his head, to the sounds of traffic below as he swung. All of it felt eerily familiar to him.

"I told myself I wouldn't get sucked back into this stuff, right away." He mumbled to himself as he drew closer to his destination, spotting smoke rising over the rooftops. "Yet, here I am. Swinging into action." He sighed.

Finally, he reached his destination, landing on a roof across the street from the Cadmus building. When he got there, he could see one of the rooms on the second floor of the building completely engulfed in flames.

"Weird timing." Peter mumbled to himself, as he surveyed the scene.

The fire appeared contained to the single room. Two scientists could be seen sticking their heads out the window, while the fire department prepared to act.

"Hang on, we're gonna get you down from there!" One of the fire fighter called from a megaphone.

As soon as he said that, the two scientists fell from the window. Peter sighed and shook his head in amusement, before sling shooting himself across the street. With a flick of the wrist, he swung lower, catching both of the scientists with one hand, dropping them seamlessly on the sidewalk. After that, he spotted the three sidekicks on the side of the building and let go of his web, landing nimbly in front of them.

"Still got the moves." Wally smirked holding out his fist.

"As always." Peter shrugged, fist bumping him, then gestured to the fire. "Tell me that wasn't you guys."

"The fire was here when we got here." Robin replied. "Still think its not worth our time?"

Peter shook his head. "I was afraid you'd say that." He sighed, peeking around the corner as he formulated a plan. "Alright, follow me and keep quiet."

After that, Peter webbed the wall of the building and swung himself upward, through one of the broken windows on the second floor. Robin used his grappling hook, followed by Wally, who used his speed to run straight up the wall. Aqualad used a vortex of water to lift him up to the second floor.

There they found Peter already looking through one of the computers.

"Find anything?" Robin asked, curiously.

Peter shook his head. "Looks like SOMEONE'S been deleting their search history. Do I wanna know?"

"Unfortunately we do." Wally replied with a light chuckle.

As Aqualad was looking around, he stopped when he saw an elevator closing at the end of a dark hallway. He gasped and his eyes widened as he saw something inside.

"There's something in the..." he began.

Robin smirked eagerly and rushed to his side, pulling up the schematics for the building. Peter and Wally joined him, looking over his shoulder.

"The elevators should be shut down." Robin noted.

"Kinda odd to have a high speed express elevator in a two story building." Peter added as he brushed past them.

They watched as he stuck his hands to the elevator doors and seamlessly pried them open. Then the four of them looked down the elevator shaft, seeing as it spanned possibly hundreds of feet downward. As he stared down into the hole, his Spider sense tingled again, urging him to go down there. He hated it for that in that moment.

"THAT's why they need an express elevator." Robin nodded.

"Yep, and just like that we know where to go. That was easy." Peter nodded, webbing the ceiling of the elevator shaft. "Stay sharp, guys."
