Peter and Tim perched on the edge of the roof across the street from an apartment building where one of the Maroni crime family lieutenants lived. As they watched the window of the apartment, they could see the silhouette of a person in the darkened room, illuminated only by the TV in front of them. While, they kept an eye on their person of interest, they also scanned the rooftops, looking for any possible angles, the red hood could use for an assassination attempt, although, they seemed to had picked the best angle for that.
"Alright guys," Peter said into his ear piece. "Everyone in position?"
"I'm staking out the neighborhood my target lives in, as we speak." Batman replied through the intercom.
"I'm good here." Batgirl replied.
"I've got eyes on mine." Nightwing said.
"I too, have a visual." Starfire replied.
"No movement with us either." Raven said.
"Good." Peter nodded as he scanned the surrounding rooftops of the tightly cramped neighborhood he found himself overlooking. "He's bound to show up at one of them, so keep your eyes peeled and PLEASE keep a steady flow of communication."
"No need to tell ME." Batgirl retorted with a scoff.
"Okay, BRUCE?" Peter asked, only to be greeted with silence from the other end for several seconds. "Bruce?"
"I guess we're gonna assume that means yes." Kate said from her ear piece.
"I would." Dick quipped.
Meanwhile, Kate and Raven overlooked their target, the neighborhood surrounded by open space with plenty of areas for a clean shot through the window. The dark Titan made sure to cast a shield over the window while they watched and waited. All the while, the sounds of the city bustled in the background.
Kate perched on a good vantage point, her bow held in one hand along with an arrow ready in the same hand for quick use. After a while of silence, Kate looked over at Raven with a curious look.
"So... how you been?" She asked, sheepishly rubbing the back of her head. "Uh... I noticed Spider-Man's back, that's kinda... insane."
Raven gave a soft chuckle in response and looked back at her with a nod. "Yeah, I suppose it is." She replied. "But it's been... well it's been amazing, actually."
"Aww, really?" She said. "That's great!" Then she looked off awkwardly. "Uh... I'm... sorry for my... bad advice before."
Raven raised an eyebrow at that. "Which advice?"
"You know..." Kate nudged. "The REBOUND guy..." she chuckled awkwardly.
"Oh..." Raven nodded. "Right... that."
"Honestly," Kate rubbed the back of her head sheepishly, "when I suggested that, I didn't exactly mean..."
"With someone who meant anything." Raven nodded, then looked off with a sigh. "Yeah, well don't be... I didn't have to pick who I picked." She shrugged. "I guess I was just... willing to try anything."
"I understand." Kate nodded, then shrugged with an amused grin. "Still, you got your second chance, that's honestly, a miracle."
"I know." Raven nodded, looking off in thought with a smile. "Sometimes I find it hard to believe a girl like me could get something like that."
Kate looked at her in silence for a moment with an empathetic look. "A girl like you should get a million chances, Raven." She nudged with a playful smile.
Raven smiled softly. You and Peter keep telling me stuff like that."
The archer shook her head with an amused snicker. "Yeah, well maybe one day you actually listen to our heavenly wisdom." She joked.
