Introduction - Getting By With a Little Help from my Friends

Introduction / Author's Note

Please Read.  (This was written after the previous informational chapter, some information may be repeated, please excuse this).

This book has been doing quite a bit of evolving since I first wrote the description, so I wanted to provide a bit more information before you start reading.

This book is a collaboration mostly between myself, @PrinceKenzie and @Tondada also with input from @Nuku27 for the development of Tai.

During one of our regular chats Tondada and I came up with the characters Payton and Tommy and the impetus for The Sub Club was born. It was way back when @ShadieTree was writing The Kissing Booth and during chats with her she offered to have Payton and Tommy show up in one of her chapters.

The way it was going to work was that I would write it, but each of us would be 'in charge' of one of the characters. My character is Payton and @Tondada's is Tommy. When we talked to PrinceKenzie about it, the idea started to blossom, not only did PrinceKenzie offer to sneak Payton and Tommy into a few chapters of Loving His Submission, we also convinced her to have a character as well, and then Ashton was born.

Actually, we each are in charge of at least 2 characters because we also came up with the description, model and background for the Doms that become "interests" for the boys. And in the case of PrinceKenzie, she is also in charge of Lane, Matthias, Denny, Mike and any other LHS characters that overlap into The Sub Club.

During all these discussions, we were teasing one of our friends and then decided to throw him in the mix too, so Chris is loosely based on him and we plan on doing lots of naughty things to Chris...just because we can.

Finally, our last character was suggested by @Nuku27. He messaged me and asked if some time I could write a book with a submissive black teen, specifically one that wasn't overly feminine since that's how they're often portrayed. I thought it was a great idea and it was at the same time we were planning The Sub Club, so with help from him, we named him Tai, found a model, changed it a couple of times, lol, and then later Nuku27 wrote some background and personality information for him.

So here's how it works.

PrinceKenzie writes any of the chapters/sections where it's in Ashton's or Gideon's point of view.  She also writes Chris' POV and Sean's.

I write all of Payton & Remy's point of view, plus the third person point of view that starts the book and may be interspersed throughout.

With Tondada's help, input and guidance, I write Tommy & Casey's point of view, but she makes all of the decisions on how they are portrayed.

With some initial background info on Tai, I write Tai & Ken's point of view.

Any other or new POV's get written by either PK or I depending on what's happening and who has ideas for it. 

All chapters are beta read by both of us and then Tondada before being published and we chat together and polish them, check for consistency and come up with new or alternative ideas. I think that has been the most fun, is coming up with ideas together and fleshing out these characters with such detailed and vivid personalities.

They live in Chicago and go to Chicago State University which should help you locate the proper accounts. This is all in good fun and I'll let you know right now we don't own the pictures of the models we use, they are picked up off the internet. We do not know these models nor have any knowledge of their sexual orientation, affiliations, likes or dislikes. Their pictures are used merely for fun and to give the readers an idea of what they look like.

This story is owned by PrinceKenzie, Tondada and myself and all rights are reserved...and all that legal stuff.  Do not copy any part of it!

On that note I need to add something else. PrinceKenzie and I have created a kind of Universe we like to call the Sexy Man Universe. It pretty much spreads between L.A. and Chicago. It seems that other authors are pretty keen on some of our locations and characters, especially PrinceKenzie's and have begun books using these characters and fictional locations (like the Red Door, Matthias, Lane, etc.). What's troubling to both of us is that they are doing it without permission, which is both plagiarism and stealing. We have worked hard to create these books, we have used our own imagination to construct our places, characters, scenarios. Thinking that you can just hop on the bandwagon is wrong. Especially in the case of PrinceKenzie's who has worked even harder creating a large portfolio of amazing works. She doesn't deserve to have people riding her coattails. Please just come up with your own ideas. Or, at a minimum private message authors first. Some may be open to it, but do understand when they're not. It's not because they are rude or selfish, but a writer has to keep a tight control on how their character is portrayed and the quality of writing that they are being used in.

When the idea for The Sub Club came up I spoke to PrinceKenzie extensively about it, I made sure she was comfortable and I asked her to work with me to keep the integrity of her characters, and I was really excited when she agreed to work with me on it. I respect her writing and she respects mine and we felt we could create a book together with the help of our friend Tondada that gave all of our characters justice.

If you haven't spoken to an author before using their characters or fictional locations, then you need to take down the book and ask them...and you need to respect their decision. That is how society works.

Anyway...As mentioned in the Description, Chapters will be posted on Saturdays (3 Saturday's on, One off), one chapter per week, except two for the first week.  If something happens and we are unable to post one week (a tsunami, tornado or hurricane happens), don't kvetch. It will be posted as soon as possible.

Also, if you don't like something about our story, honestly, we don't want to hear about it because we don't really care. We are writing this for our own fun and enjoyment. If you don't like it, you don't have to read it. This is a negative-free zone, so no negativity please!

This is a work of fiction, none of us are experts in the bdsm lifestyle so we cannot guarantee accuracy of its portrayal, however we do our honest best to research or ask questions of our Dom/sub friends.
