POV: Evane
I can't wait. I'm so excited.
I got to Addie's apartment a few minutes ago and messaged her that I was here and ready for our date but she said she wasn't quite ready and told me to wait outside by my car.
I can't wait to see how she's dressed since she was the one that chose where we're going on her date, or more like what she wanted to do. It took her a while to decide but once she did she was so excited that I couldn't help but start to share her excitement and become giddy too.
Leaning against the bonnet of my car, i just scroll through my phone and some business emails, waiting patiently for Addie to be ready. She can take all the time she needs.
As I reply to another email, a small cough alerts me to the person standing in front of me.
She looks stunning.
She's completely taken my breath away. She has dressed herself beautifully for this date and it's overwhelmed me to the degree that I can't say anything. All I can do is gawk at her.
"I take it you like how I'm dressed, then?" She says with a nervous smile, fiddling with her clothes and fussing with them.
She's wearing a long dark blue skirt that goes to her mid calf and a loose fitting white shirt with long sleeves that puff out a little before cinching at her wrists. She has a small silver necklace with a charm made from a pale blue stone I don't recognise. She has a small backpack and her hair pulled back into a half up, half down style with a small bun.
She has put on a little bit of make-up to my surprise. Nothing too much. Just a bit of mascara and eyeliner and maybe some pale blush and lip gloss. It's all very subtle and enhances the beauty she already has.
"Are you ready to go?" She asks, snapping me out of my trance.
I eagerly nod, leading her to the passenger door and opening it for her, letting her sit down and sort herself out and place her bag by her feet before I close the door. I go to the driver's seat and start up the car, double checking that Addie is okay since I don't fully know how she is with cars now.
With her assurance that she's okay, I start driving to where our first date is going to be, both excited and nervous for it.
This is my chance to start over with Addie and I don't want to ruin it. She has given me the chance to make it up to her and the mate and partner she needs and deserves. I'm not going to waste this chance.
I drive for about an hour, putting on the radio when I notice Addie starting to get bored. She's a lot calmer in cars now and it's noticeable. I'm glad to see that she isn't fighting off panic attacks anymore just by sitting in a car. She's sat calmly staring out the window as I drive.
Addie can barely sit still though once I park and she realises we're here. I had wanted to open the door for her and treat her like a lady but she's already stood outside of the car impatiently waiting for me to get out and walk with her.
I can't help but chuckle at her excitement.
It's only an aquarium.
"You are really excited, aren't you?" I ask, linking my arm with hers.
"I've never been to an aquarium before, so yes, I am excited," she admits, basically pulling me forward towards the entrance.
"You've really never been to one? Not even on a school trip or something?"
"Well, I had two chances technically but I never got to go. I didn't want to bother my dad with it since he always struggled to have the energy to do anything and I didn't want to pile more onto him, and my aunt was, well...my aunt," she explains.
