In the auditorium of the Hyattsville Barrington Academy school Dr. DuBuis Lane, Lyle Peters and Angel Anderson sat in the front row listening to the musical theater club students rehearsing for Wednesday's assembly performance.
Lyle stood up and smiled fondly at them. " I know what happened last week was horrible but thank goodness it was not worse. " Everyone present including Alan Kendall turned to smile at Theodore Rochester who blushed at the attention. " But you know," Lyle continued on with the dramatic flair he only reserved for theater and science lectures," what they say. The Show Must Go On. Let's give Dr. Lane and Nurse Anderson a taste of what we have prepared. I'm going to be in the back in fact. " He stood up suddenly and ran all the way to the last row where he then sat down again. " I want to be able to hear all your wonderful voices from back here. Let them hear you on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Virginia. Theodore , Luci , get us started with I Found Hope ok ? And I want the rest of you to come in backing them up just like we planned ok ? "
Luci looked at Theodore. " You ready Theo - Dore ? ," she whispered.
Theodore swallowed and touched his ear that he could still hear out of again thankfully. " I'm ready, Luci With A I Not A Y. "
Then the two of them took deep breaths and began to sing together perfectly as though their voices had been made for each other with the rest of the club eventually joining in.
Luci sang ," When life gets rough on you. "
Theodore came in with," When you feel like everything is crashing down on your head. "
" Louder ," Lyle demanded. " I can't hear you. Sing like you mean it. Sing like you feel it. "
Luci stepped forward, her hands on her hips, her chin lifted up, and sang ," WHEN LIFE GETS ROUGH ON YOU. "

" I found hope in you "
Spencer held tightly onto a sleeping Miracle as he in his living room talked with the social worker Rosie Flynn who was concluding her official home check.
In the hallway the technicians that Nicholas and Jenessa had sent over were finishing up the installation of the chair lift that would safely take Spencer upstairs to transfer to his old manual wheelchair Slow Ass 1 while his motorized one remained downstairs.
Rosie said," I wouldn't worry. Everything seems in order. I think this will work out fine."
Spencer smiled. " Thank you. "
