Jenessa : I have a possible solution for you and Spencer. Spencer wants to be able to go upstairs again. What about a wheelchair lift for the stairs?
DuBuis : We thought about that before but it is really expensive and we could barely afford the other renovations to make the house handicap accessible. I wish we could. Spencer can easily get in the lift and have a manual wheelchair upstairs to transfer to. He's getting better at lifting himself in and out of the chair. He'd just have to leave the motorized wheelchair downstairs. That way we can keep our bedroom downstairs and the nursery upstairs. Or we can have Sol and Theodore room together with us taking one of their rooms and the baby can have a room. But we can not afford it. Especially with my making less now at the school. I don't want to ask Richard. Neither does he. We both already suspect he's the one paying Luci's tuition instead of her getting a scholarship.
Jenessa : I've discussed it with Nicholas. He is going to pay for a wheelchair stair lift. In fact he is going to arrange for it on Monday. This way you also get your dining room back, baby boy.
DuBuis : I can't accept this. I don't even know this man.
Jenessa : But you know me. And he is going to be my husband very soon. Nicholas is a very generous man. It's getting done so accept it. Call it an early Christmas gift, son. I love you both.
DuBuis : I love you too, Mama. Almost grown kids are one thing. And I feel incompetent about them. Can we really do this?
Jenessa : With faith in the Lord you can do anything.
