As he was heading to the clinic to check on Alfred Gerald's phone rang. He glanced at it and made an impolite face when he saw it was that Matilda Swan woman. He sighed. She was a nice enough lady , yes, and fairly attractive. In fact she reminded him a bit of his late wife with a slight English accent. But he was not interested and her all too frequent calls and texts and invites to dinner were unnerving and unappealing to him. He did not wish to spend time with Matilda Swan.
He wished to spend time with Alfred Giadello. Which was impossible since he had a fiance that was ten times better than some old fat educator. Although, he thought, Alfred rarely mentioned his fiance except to say that the man was now working for the Washington Reign. He frowned slightly.
His frown increased on his face as he stepped into the clinic and saw the English teacher sitting on the couch crying.
" Mr. Giadello , are you hurt ? , " he asked with alarm. He immediately crossed the room to sit next to him. He touched the man's shaking shoulder.
Alfred shook his head and tried to compose himself. He took a deep breath and wiped his face with his hand. " I'm fine. I'm sorry I am not in class. I.... I feel foolish. It's just a walker." He broke down again. " It's just a walker. I feel stupid. First I lose Scott now..... "
Gerald was stunned.
Scott..... He lost......
" You're not stupid," Gerald said as he instinctively pulled the man closer into his arms. " You are the least stupid person I know. You're not foolish either. Please don't think ill of yourself. "
" I can't help it. Who would do this? I mean. Really? "
Gerald did not know but he would find out. Suddenly he felt a deep emotion brewing within his body. It was anger at whomever had hurt this man.
This beautiful sweet intelligent man.
He didn't know why he chose to do it.
He was not one for impulsive moves in his life. It took him twenty minutes to choose an appetizer at a restaurant. But that day , that moment, he acted on pure instinct.
As Alfred sobbed in his arms he leaned even closer to him and claimed his lips in the purest softest sweetest most delicate kiss he had ever experienced in his life.
Angel was about to step into the clinic until he saw the headmaster and the English teacher kissing on the sofa. In his shock he stepped back outside the room and quietly closed the door behind him.
