" Where do you think your brother rushed off to like he was running away from a fire ? ," DuBuis asked as he reclined back on their bed. He and Spencer were alone. Richard had gone off somewhere in a big hurry. And his mother and Nicholas had also left with Andrew and Glory for lunch at a new cafe that  had just opened nearby. The kids were still at school. And the baby was napping in her crib in the nursery.

Spencer had eased himself from his chair onto the bed and was now snuggling close to him. Yeah. DuBuis sighed. He had missed this. And him. He pressed a soft kiss to Spencer's happily smiling lips.

" I don't know," Spencer said with a distracted air. " I'm sure he will tell us eventually. Probably running back to work. You know him. Let's not talk about my brother. "

DuBuis smiled back at him. " Fine with me. What do you want to talk about, Genius? God. I mmmmissed you sssso much. "

" I missed you too. A lot. I missed sleeping next to you. " Spencer hesitated. Was this the right time? Except for an occasional stutter and his slightly halting steps when he walked DuBuis seemed to be back to his normal old self. Would this be alright? Like he had planned for Christmas night? Maybe. Just what they called online a quickie?  " I want to talk about.... your Christmas gift. "

DuBuis wrapped his arms around his husband and pulled him even closer to him. " You are all the gift I will ever need in my life. I love you. I'm.... I ..... Damn it. I.... Sorry I scared you. The stroke. "

Spencer smiled faintly and nervously at him. " That's the gift. " He licked his lips. He blinked his eyes. " It's me. I've prepared. With my sexual relations counselor. She gave me video links. I think one might have given me a virus on my phone but Nigel helped me with it. " He swallowed. " I know.... how to do it now. I mean all the basics. I am ready. I really am. DuBuis was stunned beyond belief. He was really not expecting to hear that from his husband. Yes. He knew Spencer was seeing the sex therapist Reverend Lynn had recommended but he seriously hadn't thought it would lead to anything. And he didn't expect it. If they never had sex beyond bjs and hand jobs as well as kissing and cuddling he would be happy. But..... if Spencer really did want it, if he was really comfortable with it after the rapes.....

Spencer nervously waited for his reaction. Part of him expected another rejection. For DuBuis to say that he , Spencer, wasn't ready. Even though he was.
