" Why the hell are you on Harts and Flowers? ," Joe Jacobs snapped as he held out Winston's cell phone in the living room where Winston was watching some history documentary on PBS. Joe wanted to roll his eyes. The man's day off from the club and he spent it watching PBS. He was such a nerd really but....he was Joe's nerd.
The words that hit him suddenly made him speechless for a second. This man was nothing to him. Right? Just a warm body to fuck and convenient because his bedroom was right down the hallway from his own. Although Joe had been sleeping in Winston's more and more lately......
No.
Joe Jacobs did not do relationships. He had sex. And then he moved on. So why did it actually hurt him a little that Winston, the closet case, was actually on a LGBTQA dating app ? Was the man finally coming out in his early forties ? And on damn Harts and Flowers..... He was looking for a relationship on Harts and Flowers..... because that was what people did on that damn site......
Winston wanted to come out. He wanted a relationship. And not with......
Why did he care ?
Winston looked scared. Of what? Him ? He would never hurt the man.
Winston reached out and snatched his phone back, saying," Why do you have my phone? I don't go snooping through your phone. "
" Why are you on that damn site? "
Winston shook his head. And avoided his eyes. " Why do you care? If I find someone? You should be happy. You get your little life back. Right? "
Joe grabbed the man by his arms and pulled him up to a standing position until their faces were almost touching. He could feel the smaller man's heart beating so rapidly inside his chest. He saw his pupils growing bigger as they stared at him. He saw his tongue darting out to lick at his delicious delectable lips. God. He wanted this man. All the time. He .....
" I don't want you on Harts and Flowers," he practically growled.
" Why ? You sleep with every man that moves. Why can't I....."
Winston didn't finish the sentence because all of a sudden Joe pulled him to his body and kissed his mouth hard and demanding, forceful and passionate. Winston's arms rose up to wrap around his body.
When they finally separated Joe snapped," You can't be on the damn app because.... I ..... I...... "
Damn. Why was it so hard to say these words? He had never said them to any of his other lovers. Because they were just fuck boys. Not even DuBuis Lane and he had came close.
( " Nobody could ever love you," his father had said. " Not a man. Not a woman. You're just like your mother. Selfish to the bone. Nobody will ever want you, Joseph. " )
" Because you what, Joey? ," Winston whispered with too much hope glimmering in his voice.
" Never mind. Do what you want to. I don't care. "
