Dear Zinny,

Happy 27th birthday to you, my Zinny!

I am always thankful to the heavens above for having you as my partner in any form of relationship. You are my best friend, my partner in crime, my chika-partner, and my girlfriend. I hope soon, I can put 'my wife' on it. You know living life with you is living with colorful flowers in any kind of weather and season. I love you for being you and for loving me for being me.

Regarding your health, my wish for you is to be healthy always. Avoid eating easy to cook meals if you can. Also, drink your vitamins, especially the iron ones because you literally have low blood. And stay hydrated always. Don't drink too much coffee... if you can.

Regarding your career, my wish for you is to be more successful in making and producing music. I know that your dream right now is to be an effective musician. Whatever you want in your career, I wish you well and hope for the best. I'm always proud of what you have achieved and continually achieve in the next few days. Always keep your feet on the ground and don't forget those people who have helped you reach this far.

I always bloom with you, Zinny. Just like always—I love you in any kind of season and weather. I am always grateful for you, because you're also a part of my success. You have helped me grow into a better person, a better man. You make me happy in any form of happiness. Laughter always. We seldom cry or fight over things, which I'm very thankful to the heavens always.

Right after reading his birthday card, I suddenly had tears in my eyes. Hindi lang 'yon ang binigay niya sa akin kundi isang malaking flower bouquet din. Nasa studio-office ako ngayon, at kanina, umiyak na rin ako dahil sa surprise nilang Mary at ng ibang team sa akin.

It's my 27th birthday today. Wow... six years mahigit na pala... I remember twenty-two pa ako no'ng natulog ako. Paggising ko na lamang bigla sa umaga, twenty-seven na ako. Ang daming nangyari sa loob ng six years-kasiyahan, kalungkutan, doubts, insecurities. Lahat nangyari sa loob ng mga taong 'yon.

I only had sadness, doubts, and insecurities for those six years because of my work as a musician. Noon kasi, nasasaktan ako sa bad comments ng iba. I have already made and produced a lot of songs for some artists here in Bloom Entertainment. Maraming humahanga sa pagsusulat at paggawa ko ng kanta, pero ang iba ay pumupuna rin ng masama sa akin. Tao rin naman ako... kaya nasasaktan din ako.

For those six years, I poured my heart and soul into becoming an effective musician. I've been in the process of learning for those years, even now. Kaya I hope some people would have a kind heart and mind to think of the other side... of the good side. Tumatanggap naman ako ng constructive criticism, but I know how to differentiate insult over that. Ayoko rin ma-kompara ako sa ibang musicians, lalo na kay Mary na naging mentor ko sa industriya ng musika.

"Tissue?"

Lumingon ako kay Mary at nakitang may hawak siyang box of tissues. Kumuha kaagad ako ng iilan at ginamit iyon bilang pamunas ng mga luha ko sa aking mukha.

"Natutuwa kasi ako sa letter nitong boyfriend ko..." I suddenly talked, feeling happy inside.

"Sweet talaga ng boyfriend mo, Zin. Ilang years na nga kayo?"
