Ch. 61: Insanity

~{ No One's POV }~

It's been a while since the incident at the hospital, about a week has passed. Monty was satisfied with the tiny session he gave himself so he wasn't being much of a bother anymore. Moon was sitting in his hospital bed as usual, bored out of his mind. He hadn't used his phone much since he was spending most of the time with Solice and Wendy.

But out of boredom, he grabbed his phone and turned it on. He saw an icon in his notifications bar that meant he received a message. He clicked on it and after a few seconds of loading, Sun's messages appeared. Moon's eyes instantly widened as he sat up, staring at his phone. He got up and ran to Wendy even though he was supposed to stay in bed-

"Wendy!!" Moon rushed to her and put the phone in her face. "Look! Sun's ok!!" He yelled, relieved and excited. Wendy gasped and read the message, about to be excited and happy too but the message wasn't what she expected at all. "Moon...This...He's...' She looked like she just saw a ghost, this information being...sudden and terrifying.

Moon turned his phone to himself and looked at the message, reading over it. The second it registered in his head, he froze. It felt like time froze. All there was left was the message, racing through his head. It felt like the world just shattered, breaking off into pieces just to be insignificant shards in space. His hands shook, his legs shook, all of his body was taking the toll. His mind was fuzzy as all the memories with Sun and Eclipse played in his head, each one taunting him that he can't have them. Even Monty could feel the sudden change. The shaken body, fuzzy head, all of it was hurting intensely. Moon couldn't even hear Wendy, only the words echoing in his mind. Everything in that moment shattered.

It all became an annoyance. A pain, a difficulty, an obstacle. Standing right there, staring at the message. Hearing Wendy yelling his name, he wanted to rip her vocal chords out. He wanted to turn them into millions of pieces, blood splattered everywhere and the pieces scrambled. He wanted to hear her screams, he wanted the world to burn.

Monty felt each thought as if it were his own, they were...terrifying, to say the least. Moon was losing it, Monty knew only what happened next would end in a disaster. Even he knew that Moon needed to be stable, otherwise plenty would die. Monty would too, Moon would fry his systems just to destroy himself, Monty would burn in the process.

Doctors rushed in, some holding Moon and others treating the body that lied on the floor. Police came in, holding Moon in place as he stared, watching the blur around him. Sun and Eclipse were gone, and nothing else mattered. Not even the only two left who loved him. It was all dead to him.

Days passed. About a week had. Wendy was helped and Moon was...away, for now.
During Moon's thought process, he had attacked Wendy and pulled her eye out, leaving it hanging from the socket by a single vein. Solice was being taken care of at the nursery as usual, unaware of what had happened and doctors would keep it that way.

Everything had been restricted of Moon. After seeing how dire this situation was, doctors called in a technician. They removed Monty from Moon's head forcefully and turned off any of Moon's functions except for his speaking and facial expressions. Each day for the passing week, doctors would find Moon in worse shape than the last. They weren't sure how on earth could he do it with his entire body restrained, but he managed to torture himself somehow until a doctor would come in each day to fix him up. It was like a game to him. He hurt himself and they come fix him, then it happens over and over again. Nothing would go in between that process, only the feeling of being on the verge of death just to be brought back each time. If he couldn't have his partners here, he'll have them in the afterlife.
