The gods, or the almighty screen for whoever preferred to remain blasphemous, let the scenes continue.
Toonka's words stayed with some of them. For others, his statements and encouraging words left their brain faster than the ability to hear when a parent called.
Cale was out of his element.
He watched as his face went around, causing general mayhem and havoc by textbook standards, yet he played it off like it was another lazy Sunday or not his fault at all. How delusional can someone be?!
Cale would be impressed if it wasn't his face and name bearing the burden.
Having been in the room long enough to prove that he wasn't an exchanged soul, rather the actual owner of the hard-earned title of Trash Supreme, most of the crowd left him alone. Some fugitive glances here, a sneer there, some confused blinking, and Cale swore some had pinched lips whenever the other Cale did something and he reacted as surprised as the rest.
He couldn't and wouldn't want to summon fire, spear someone with water, summon a stupidly pretty shield, or run around with the protection of a group of pet dragons.
Thanks, but no thanks.
He may not have class, manners, or power, but he has common sense.
Since Cale just knew that shit was about to hit the fan, he downed another glass of wine, contemplating if he was drunk enough to fake unconsciousness or to suffer through the definitely stupid story on the screen.
A snort alerted him.
He quickly switched to annoyed when the annoying face of Kim Rok Soo, his older counterpart, stared at him with a raised brow and twitching lips.
"It won't work." The other taunted, drawling the words like a child would.
Cale frowned some more.
"And why wouldn't it work?"
Kim Rok Soo waved him away.
"Who do you think tried all those situations already? I am you, just an itsy-bitsy tiny bit older yet far wiser and definitely more handsome now. In short, the better you."
Cale was as impressed as Violan, who gave his older counterpart some serious side-eye.
"Then I'll just watch."
The clinking of glass shifted his attention. Kim Rok Soo was pushing over a re-filled glass of wine.
"We don't have to suffer through Cale's shenanigans sober." The suffering in his voice was clear. Kim Rok Soo eyed the glass, the screen, then the glass again, and had to decide quickly if he wanted to down the glass in one go as preparation or just expect the definitely expected with Cale.
Boom. Bang. Clack. More boom. Maybe woosh, but certainly a bit more boom.
Kim Rok Soo was sure of that.
Also, his eyes wandered, shifting over various profiles until they stopped at a certain Korean's head. Choi Jung Soo felt the stare and knew who was staring at him. Chuckling sheepishly, he turned around, giving the unimpressed voluntary Korean a belated wave.
The deadpan glare he received may be deserved.
"Angering people again?" Sui Khan asked.
"Always," Choi Jung Soo cheerfully exclaimed.
Cale just looked at them with dead eyes, knowing he'd probably get chewed out by the team leader soon again.
...how high were the chances that the adventures in Earth 2 wouldn't be shown?
