Last night was rough. After going through it, Soren and I spent a while lingering in the forest. We didn't really discuss the written words of his father. It is a new light on a situation that occurred many years ago.

Yet that is all it is.

With clarity you can see the water that you swim in, but that doesn't necessarily stop you from drowning.

At this moment in time, however, both Soren and I promised each other we were not going to sink. I'm glad that Viren did not burn that letter. I'm content Soren and I read it together. I'm glad that we concluded how life moves on, and we have a wedding to attend.

Although the invite extended to Soren, he still wanted to stay in Katolis. This made me more hesitant to split ways - especially since he was still asleep by the time that I left. I made sure to leave a note on the pillow.

I know that he will be here with Opeli to watch over the kingdom whilst Corvus and I join our King so it will be okay. Pyrrah is going to take us, but return to Katolis just in case Soren changes his mind last minute. Seeing as it is a midday wedding, he doesn't have much time. However I heard that Xadian marriage ceremonies go into the night and for these Elves, the next rise of the sun. So technically he could join us at any time. Nevertheless, my worry for Soren sits heavy on my heart. Yet he insisted that he needed some alone time to think and that I'll be back in a day - at most.

When Corvus and I finally land, a crowd has already gathered in the circular communal area. It is a clear indication of where the wedding ceremony is taking place. I was also please to spot Lazuli relaxing on the outskirts. If I have time, I'll have to go say hello.

With the couple hours to spare before the wedding, I catch up with the people present. Sadly both Amaya and Janai are finishing getting ready - it is bad luck for them to see each other before the ceremony - so I won't see them just yet. I do, however, speak lots to Kazi and Gren. Both of them will be partcipating in the event which is very exciting; Kazi as the officiant and Gren as Amaya's voice. Corvus is off busy practicing for his musical component.

I speak briefly to Kazi about books, and she shares what little information she knows of the Clestial Elves. The talk is actually very reassuring as she holds great faith in Callum and Rayla's abilities to reason with them.

Eventually all of the guests are called to be seated. I say this with humility, but King Ezran, Queen Aanya, Zym, Bait and myself get the best seats right next to the centre. Perks of being close friends with the brides. With the lovely yet short conversations I share with Ezran and Aanya, one thing is clear.

My King has a major crush on this girl.

After noticing this, I don't embarass him at all. Instead I add small comments into the conversation at hand, constantly talking him up. Being the intelligent girl that Aanya is, she notices something. I enjoy seeing how often she giggles and smiles, the pair interacting in a very natural way. Perhaps it is just a genuine respect for one another. Yet I believe that they could teach each other lots due to their contrasting personalities.

Zym and I often share a glance as we observe the them. Of course the Dragon Prince can see some sparks fly.

A quiet comes over the crowd, halting people in their conversations. That is when a melody starts to play. I look over to where Corvus stands with his violin. Within a few moments, Sunfire Elf playing the flute joins him. The intrsuments bind together in a beautiful tune. The music lulls the audience into soothing atmosphere.

Suddenly I feel a strong pang in my heart. I really wish that Callum could be here for his aunt. Further, I wish Soren could be here to get his mind off of his father. Off of our pasts. Ceremonies like this remind us how we must look to the future.
