Ezran's great idea involved a speech. Considering the fact that it has been over two weeks, and the Kingdoms have not spoken intimately with each other, this large meeting is well needed.

The setting is perfect.

Everyone gathers in the forest near the Xadian boarder, where the canyon of lava can be seen in the distance. There are many whispers and conversations amongst this little crowd - mainly plans for the future. The dragons are already talking about fixing their molten river, apparently. Making it friendlier for passers. Ezran knows more of their lives than anyone else. It helps that he can talk to them.

Everyone misses Zubeia.

The loss of the Dragon Queen remains a heavy one. Yet plans for a beautiful flowing river are strong and I know that she would be proud of where we are going. As well as where we stand now, in the lush wilderness.

Vines snake their way around the vibrant trees. Their large arms stretch out above all of our heads - including the dragons in the crowd. Everyone is here today. By that I mean everyone. Those rock beings that were guards at the gate of Umbor Tor. The dragons, of course. All of the Elves: Sunfire, Earthblood, Moonshadow, Skywing, Tidebound, even Celestial. As well as humans. Everyone has truly made an effort to show up, proving that they want to be a part of this future that lies ahead of us.

I watch with pride as Ezran clambers onto the large rock behind me. Zym bounces up next to his favourite person, sitting with a tall chest at Ezran's side. I personally stand next to Soren, Corvus, Aanya and Terry. Rayla and Callum are on the other sde of the boulder, a bit further away from us. Gren, Amaya and Janai are positioned with them. Runaan and Ethari remain somewhere else entirely, immersed into the crowd. They are laying low until they can speak to Ezran... which he wants to do tomorrow night. I shouldn't be worrying about that right now. Now, I need my full attention to be on my King.

"Our world faced its end," Ezran begins saying, projecting his voice so the whole audience can hear. "But we survived. And on the other side we find ourselves at a new beginning!"

"Today, we break ground on a new city!" Queen Janai calls out in support of the sppech

Amaya begins signing her words. "We stand where a boarder once divided us, but now instead of a boarder, this city will be a bridge!" Gren exclaims in translation. "A place where humans and Elves truly come together as one for the first time." The dragons at the back chitter and bellow as if to remind us all of their key presence. Amaya smiles kindly in their direction. "Hand in hand," Gren emphasises.

"I glad to say that my hand will forever be in yours," Soren whispers down to me.

"Cheers to that," I reply, finding his fingers at my side and interlacing my own.

"Now you may be wondering," Ezran continues. "Who builds this city?"

Although his question was ultimately a rhetorical one, I hear a passionate "Aye!" from in the crowd. I know for a fact that it belonged to Villads.

"And the answer is all of you!" Ezran tells his audience. The declartion leads to an unsettled, confused sort of silence. "Everyone will put their part into this joint land!" Our King has discussed this plan previously to us. I'll admit, even I was wary at first. Harrow was never a strict leader, but this future of ours still somehow feels different. "Now, Terrestrius came up with a name that truly captures the spirit of this new city." Ezran motions to where Terry stands below him on the ground.

Terry was told he would do the introduction, yet he still winds up unprepared. "Uh, hello!" He shouts. His hands are occupied with the nest of his two birds. He looks sideways to Soren and I and we both urge him forward with encouraging expressions. Terry clears his throat. "Welcome... to the city of Evrkynd!" The announcement is followed with a low bow. Soren and I are the first to whoop, followed by a couple of cheers in the crowd. "It will be a place where every kind of person is welcome... where we will strive to always be kind to one another," Terry explains. The name is fitting. I have to admit, I shed a tear when it was first proposed to us at the council meeting.
