"OKAY, WHAT THE hell happened?"
Simon, Isabelle, Jace and Alec look up in surprise to see Blythe storming through the doors of the OPS center. The heels of her boots click on the floor with every angry step she takes towards them.
"I go home early for one evening and everything goes to shit," she snarls. Blythe places her hands on the glass table with a loud noise. Her glaring eyes were centering on all of them. The Shadowhunters and the immortal vampire felt the rage coming from her and lean back.
"Blythe-"
The fiery gaze was directed to the tall, dark haired Shadowhunter that dared to speak up. Somehow she seemed even more furious now.
"Alec, shut it. We have a talk that is long overdue, but it needs to wait a damn minute."
Alec, who was a little confused at the extra anger being specifically directed to him, frowns. He parts his lips in shock.
"Wha-" he begins to say when Blythe's snapping voice cuts him off.
"Now where is Clary?"
Jace carefully recounts the events of Halloween, including that the Clave have reinstated the kill order on Jonathan and her. Blythe's heated eyes grow with more fury with each word leaving the blond haired boy.
"You idiot, why did you leave her alone?"
Simon takes a hesitant step forward. He wasn't used to seeing his best friend like this so he thought that being careful might do the trick.
"Blythe, I think-"
"No, Simon! If he hadn't left her alone we wouldn't be in this mess! Because what will happen now is that Jonathan and Clary will come after us, Jace and me especially. If the damn Seelies do not catch me first, that is!"
Blythe's panicked rant ended, allowing herself room to breathe. Everyone else fell silent when they realized what this was truly about. Blythe was scared. For Clary, for them but most of all, for herself.
She did not have immortality like Simon, nor the runes of the Nephilim. She was just a simple mortal with nothing to protect her from the demon-Shadowhunter hybrid that would no doubt come for her sooner or later.
But while the others still thought about her emotional outburst, Alec realized that she had blurted out something none of them yet knew. The Seelies..
"Wait, the Seelies," he asks, raising both his hands as if touch could guide him to the answers he were looking for, "Blythe, I really think we should talk."
She tried to hide the emotions that had gone haywire during her outburst. But the words she had spoken aloud just now made her feeling all the more real. Terror was coursing through her body at the thought of Jonathan coming to get her.
And this time Clary would be.. helping him.
Blythe tries to toughen up. She raises an eyebrow at Alec.
"Damn sure we need to. Because I have a few questions for you about a certain warlock we both know."

"ALEC, WHY HAVE you broken up with Magnus?"
The Shadowhunter seemed a little flustered by the bluntness of her question. She doesn't know why exactly, since she had announced beforehand what she wanted to talk to him about.
"I appreciate your concern, but that is something between Magnus and me, okay," Alec says. For him the conversation was over, but Blythe did not agree.
"It is not if I have Magnus arriving on my doorstep on the verge of a breakdown," she argues back,"Can't you just tell me what's going on? I am not only Magnus' friend, you know? I'm here for you if need be."
