off the shore part 3

MELO POV

I was zoning out. "Well obviously there's better things out there other than mermaids.. am i right? Melo? Melo????" My mom tried to get my attention. I snapped out. "Uhm... yeah?" I tried to blend in the conversation. "You ok? You've been acting different." My mom questions me. "Well uhm yea i'm ok! I'm just thinking about basketball. How i miss playing that sport." I looked at my dad. "Well your grades ain't good... So uhm good luck with that.." He said munching on his chicken. I sigh. I finished dinner and went to my room. I got ready for bed and looked at the time on my phone. 12:20AM.. So i waited and waited until...3:54 AM. I got my coat on and opened my window slowly. I looked back and quickly jumped out my window. I closed it and went to the shore. There was a part of the shore my dad and his fishing friends kept talking about. They said they've seen interesting things coming out of that lake.. I arrived and got out my car. I creeped towards the covered lake. I pushed away the vines seeing something glowing in the background. I pushed the last vine and seen a mermaid on a big boulder rock. She was washing her body and was singing a beautiful siren. I was amazed. Her voice was so soothing. Her body was perfect too. Her back muscles were so defined. I went closer to see a face reveal. "FOREIGNERRR!!" I heard a voice in the back yell. The girl turns around and screams covering her boobs. "YN?" I question myself. "THERE HE GOESSSSS!!!" A bunch of men mermaids came up the water and threw spears at me. One of them scratched my legs. "FUCKKKK!!!" But that didn't stop me from still running out. I kept running until i made it to my backyard. I looked down at my bleeding scar. Fuck me.. I climbed back inside and took a deep breath. I quietly went to the bathroom and put my leg on the bathtub. I found some wrapping bandages in my cabinet and wrapped my leg. I limped my way back to bed.

-the next day

"Yeo what happened to your leg?" Don looks at my leg. I tripped...on my dad's equipment." I lied. "Clumsy ass. But you coming to the Shamar's party? It's gonna be wild!"  "We hired rappers, we got habbachii, we got bitches with fatass, DJ WANNABE!" Shamar lists. "You know i'm down." I chuckled. "You can also invite your little girlfriend over there." We all looked at YN as she walks past us. "Hey Melo.." She smiles at me as she walks with her friend. "Hey.." I nervously smile. I'll never forget that i seen her naked by the rock. "She is bad man... i don't blame you if you tryna just smash." Don says as we all still look. "I'm not tryna just smash though."  I told them. "Look i'll be right back.." I walked up to her. "YN hey.." I walked in front of her. "I'll talk to you later Dana." She tells her friend. "What do you want?" She shrugs. "Look I'm sorry about last night. I was just tryna discover something..." "WHAT? DISCOVER MY SECRET? IM BANNED FROM TALKING TO YOU." She cuts me off. "Look i mean no harm to you or your tribe. I'm a huge fan of mermaids and the day i seen you I knew it was too true to be real. I mean you glow unlike any other girl here. I just want to learn more about your species. I promise." I gave her puppy eyes. I did feel bad for everything that happened. I just want to know more about her. She gave me an unsure look but then she shrugs. I guess. "But you would have to talk to my dad." She sighs. My grin turned into a big smile. "OHHHH MY GOOODNESS YESSSSS!" I grabbed her waist and gave each other this look. "LOOK AT YOU ROMEO!" My homeboys whistles at us. We both started blushing and stepped back. "Meet me by the shore at sunset. Bring your swimming gear." She tells me before leaving. "WILL DO!" I yelled from a distance. "You sure can get any girl Baller." Don says to me. "Once again... it's not like that. I really like this girl. I told them. "Let's see what happens." After school i rushed to my home and grabbed my swimming gear. Very expensive but reasonable. No one was home so this was a perfect time. I looked at the time. "Perfect." I smiled. I ran to my car and put my swimming gear in the car. I then drove to the shore. I can see her waiting. I rushed out the car and put on my swimming gear. I got my snorkel on. I sighed and walked up to her. She then started to giggle. "Hey it's either this or i drown." I mumbled under the mask. "It's cute.." She caresses my beard. She then stepped back and started glowing. "YN.." I whispered. She then started floating. And then a huge explosion happened. It made me in the water. "YN? YN?" I started looking around. Then she comes up. Her hair was long and flowing and that natural face glow was looking right me. "You're so beautiful..." I kept staring at her. "Thank you Lamelo!" She blushed. "Come on!" She grabbed my hands as we swam underwater. We went to their underwater island. It was full of mermaids and little fishes. I was amazed. We landed on a huge sand building. One of the mermaids had a crown. And a Fork cane. Kinda like ariel's dad. I assume this is her father. "DAD!" YN hugs the big mermaid with the crown. "My baby! How have you been?" He the glanced at me. "HUMAN!!!" The cane started glowing pointing at me. "DAD WAIT!! This human is nice." She tells him. I bowed to him. "Please forgive me.. I come in peace." I said shaking a bit. He tilted his head and lower his cane. "You're a yougin." He said. "He just wants to see how i live as a mermaid." "SO HE KNOWS YOURE A MERMAID?" He gives YN an evil look. "It's not her fault sir but uhm...she saved me. I could have lost my life.." I played with my thumbs. "My angel is a real caring person." He says looking at her. "I'll let you roam around but if i find out you're not what you say you.. your skull will be on top of my throne." He growls. "Yes sir!" I saluted him. "Honey, be nice to him, YN really like him." YN's mom swims in. "MOOOM!" YN blushes a bit. "Come on let's go." YN grabs my hand as we left her parents. "Is it true? You really like me?" I asked her. "I don't want to talk about it." She said. "Oh so you gotta little crush on me." I joked with her. "I do not!" She denies it. I shrugged. We explored her island. "Living in the ocean must be nice." I said to her. "It has its ups and downs." She says looking around. "Hey uhm you wanna come to a party." Me and my boys are having a house party. "That sounds fun." I would love to. She smiles.
