YN POV (intro)

Melo's been locked up for 13 years now. He also was locked up when i was pregnant with Tan. He was 9 months old in my stomach ready to come out. We broke up a day before he was caught. So i can't stand his ass. But i had to be there in his trials. I can't stand his ass. He sends me letters almost daily talking about he still apologizes for doing what he was doing and how he can't wait to come home to me and my son. I just throw them out. Though i can't hide my son away from him, i can restrict his limits though. So to distract myself from him I started dating Aaron. Aaron helped me out with Tan but 2 years later i caught his ass cheating. "GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HOUSE!" I threw his shit out. "DONT EVER COME BACK!!" Which he did too often. I almost called the cops on him. So with everything going on i needed support and some help. So I stayed at my mom's place for a few years until i got money to save for a house for me and my son. My brother helps me out too with his girlfriend.

5 years later

I graduated from cosmetologist school and deeper education on hair. I finally could start braiding business. I started it and it became a success. I own my own studio place and I finally earned enough money to buy a house for my son and I. "MOMMY CAN I GET BLACK WALLS?" My son asks as we look inside the house. "Yes of course!" We finally furnished the place and finally moved in.

(story starts)

"I mean are you excited?"  Tay asks me. "Excited that my baby daddy is finally free? Hell no. You know i don't like his ass.." I rolled my eyes as I braid my clients hair. "Girl i know you still have feelings. He's your first love. You don't think he still misses you?" Tay shrugs at me. "He can miss me with that bullshit. Plus i'm only just going to drop Tan off that welcome home party anyways. He's been begging to see his dad." I said grabbing more pieces of hair. "You can still at least support him. I know his friend Elliot coming with him and he also wants you to stay with him." "But i can't stay anyways." I said. "And why is that?" Tayja says cleaning her area and chair. "Because i have ANOTHER DATE!" I tell her. She roll her eyes. "I can't with you.." She chuckled. "You best believe i gotta find my new hubby. Even if i gotta go through a million men."  "Girl just let me know how that goes." She says as her new client comes in. Day became night and we had to clean up the shop. "Ight now text me back about the welcome back party and the date."  She tells me before walking in her car. "I got you! I'll see you later!" I waved to her before going in my car. I drove home and got myself ready.

"Boys are you ready?" I walked downstairs. "Yeah mom we're waiting on you!" Tan tells me. He was getting tall like his father. But he had my face. He be having his little attitude like his father too. "Alright let's go boys." I said walking to the car. "Mom can you play that new Metro Boomin song?" He asks me. "Yeah i got you guys." I went on my phone and put the song on my carplay. "YUHHHH!"  The boys were dancing in the back seat. I shook my head and started driving to the place. As i arrived i couldn't even find parking. Melo was staying with one of his brothers place. "Geez your dad has that many guest coming?" I told them. "I mean duhhhhh.. Dad was known for a lot of things." Tan told me. "Your dad is so cool man! I can't wait to meet him." Elliot geeks up. We found a random parking spot by the streetlight pole. "I'm going to just drop you to your dad and then leave." I said getting out the car. "YN?!" I looked up seeing Melo's mom holding a trash bag. "Ohhh heyyy Tina!" I hugged her. Tina was Melo's mom. I visit her from time to time. She had a stroke few years ago so i checked on her. I love her tho. Not so much of her husband though. "Is that you Tan??" She looks up at him. "YOURE GETTING SO TALLL!!" She hugs him. "Hi grandma!! Oh this is Elliot! My best friend!" He introduced him. "I finally get to meet you!" She shakes his hand. "Please you guys come in! You look marvelous  YN. You're staying?" She asks me. "Oh no i have a date to attend." I told her. "Ohhhhh!" She sounds disappointed but happy for me. She let us come in and everyone was inside partying. I greeted the rest of his family members. I haven't seen some of these faces in years. Everyone kept commenting on how tall Tan got. "Where's Lamelo?" I asked a family friend. He points to the backyard. "Let's go boys." I walked with them towards the patio door. I seen Lamelo sitting by the pool side by 2 other people. I sighed. "DAAAAAD!" Tan ran up to him. "WOAH WOAHHH IS THAT WHO I THINK IT ISSSS???" Melo says. His voice was so raspy and his blonde hair was now his natural brown hair. He had more tattoos than when he left. He was still fine to me. But i don't want him anymore. "BUD I MISSED YOU!!" Tan started crying. "I missed you so much.." He sniffed. "I missed you too. I asked about you all the time man. Look.. i'm not going back to the pound house ok?? I'm here to support you." He hugs Tan again. "You getting so tall like me dawg." He smiles at him. "Oh this is my best friend Elliot." Tan introduced Elliot. "Hey man how you doing??" He dabs Elliot. "Dude it's an honor to meet you."  He hugs Melo confusing Melo. "Aye man you family. I'm glad my son got someone like you as a friend."  He hugs him back. He then looks behind Elliot and sees me. "Beautiful..." He walks up to me. I nervously grinned. "I can't believe i get to see your fine asssssss again." He holds my hand. "Melo..."  I rolled my eyes. "You dressed up looking all fine in this yellow dress for me?" He continues. "I can't get a hug?" He looks at me. "You're unbelievable." I sighed. I gave him a hug. He then carried me. "Melo!" I tap him and then we made eye contact again. "I missed you beautiful."  He whispered. I rolled my eyes. "You don't miss me either?  You haven't received my letters?" He puts me down. "I'm moving on now Melo." I sighed. "I'm dressed up to go on a date." "But Beautiful..."  Melo frowned. "Im just here to drop off Tan." I sighed. "I'll see you later boys."  I hugged them. "It's nice seeing you again Melo. I'll pick them up at 12AM." I said. The boys waved at me as I was trying to dip. I then realized the girl that was sitting by Melo. "Dream??"  I walked up yo her. She looks up at me. "OH SHITTT!! Hey girl! I was too high to see what's going on.."  She chuckled at me. "Dream you know Melo?" I asked. "Yeahhhhhh that's my dawg. Big slime or whatever yall call it." I find it weird that she hasn't told me about their friendship. "Well okay girl? I'll be back."  I said as I was leaving.

MELO POV
My beautiful baby and potential wife moved on from me.. I thought i could start this family again but im too late. "Hey man don't worry about it. You can get any girl you want. Plus that bitch ain't need you."  My homie pats my back. "Don't call her a bitch.. that's the mother of my damn son." I pushed him away. "Let's go inside guys." We went inside and grabbed some food. "How you been man?" I asked him. "I'm alright. Me and Elliot tried out for basketball." Tan tells me. "You tryna be like me??" I chuckled. "Mr. Ball sir... i've watched your basketball highlights back when you were in high school. You were outstanding!"  Elliot tells me. "Yeah dad and last week grandma took us to buy basketball equipments."  "My mom?"  I asked. "No mom's mom. She told me that i will definitely make it to the league." "You definitely can make it. But we gotta talk to my dad about all of that." I smiled. "OH YEAH!"  Tan high fives his friend. I can definitely see YN in him. God I can't believe she's not mine anymore.

"Ight your mom should be coming in a few minutes." I told the boys. I had my shirt off since i was gonna shower after i drop them off. She finally pulls up. "Let's go boys.."  She hugs them as they walk in the car. "Thank you again for making me see Tan. He's gotten bigger the last time i seen him." I told her. "Yes he's been wanting to visit you. I had no time to bring him during visiting hours. But here you are and welcome back." She grins. "How was that date?" I asked. "It was shit.. i can't do dates anymore. Maybe my life is already complete. I mean i was in love and i already have a son. I just want to make this money." She says. "You know..i understand.. you make that money. Shit i need to get my hair done anyways." "Well you know where to stop by. Have a good night Lamelo."  She hugs me. I smiled to myself. I guess we cool i guess.
