              02. FORGOTTEN 1/2

+

Kai sat across from you at a table he set up in the Salvortore kitchen, present day. It was completely silent beside the noise coming from the fireplace.
He agreed that he would only help you and your friends bring Bonnie back if he could have one thing in return, a date with you. You just wish he mentioned for how long.

Deep down you couldn't deny his impressive preparation for tonight's dinner; white whine, red roses in a vase and caramel scented candles.

But you didn't care how romantic he made everything look, he was still a self-centered sociopath.

You hardly spoken to Kai since he forced everyone out, but even those words spoken were very limited. He sits up properly his broad shoulders straight, as his hands lay folded before him on the dark brown wooden table.
His eyes narrow at you, studying you. You weren't sure if he was purposely trying to make you uncomfortable or not, but if so its working. You thought he seemed quite clam for a person who's been sitting here for an hour, but he continues to wait patiently.

And what is it that he is patiently waiting for? You thought but you knew, you had this thing were you asked yourself self-explanatory questions. It was as if you were asking yourself how or why you were in your current situation through a question, when you thought things were unbelievable.

Kai was waiting for you to number one start eating the meal he cooked you. Then secondly to remember who he even was, even through you made it clear that you could care less. You didn't feel like eating because he made you sick to your stomach.
You thought it was mad enough he told you about his family's massacre; every excruciatingly disturbing detail about him murdering his family, and now he wanted you to eat?

How could I eat while eating at a table in a empty mansion with a killer, who's intentions I'm unaware of? You thought, fearfully.

Kai has been spending hours doing spells and using some of your magic to help him recreate your memories. You didn't ever see him eat, unless you count that bag of pork rinds he ate earlier.

Kai folds his hands and places them under his chin, "Isn't pasta your favorite?" he whispers from afar.
Your eyes glistened due to the fireplace, you began staring at. You sat quietly watching the flames dance and aluminate the living room. "No, I stopped liking pasta since I was six." you murmur softly.
He grins slightly in humor, "What kind of six year old stops liking pasta? I for once love pasta and think everyone should love it too." he laughs, unexpectedly.
You sigh, "Thank god not everyone isn't like Kai Parker." and his lips form a pout, as if he's genuinely hurt by your words.

"Ouch, Y/N, " he murmurs, "That was harsh."

You stare at him annoyingly then glare back at the fireplace. You can feel his eyes staring at you, "Why do you keep staring at me?" you question.

Kai flutters his eyelashes at you, "Y/N, you seriously don't remember me?" he says completely ignoring your question. You ignore him back and you continue to stare at the fire, eyeballing the pitch fork every once in a while. You were physically weak but you'd try to regain the strength to use your magic, anything to get away from Kai.
