Imagine #29: Cliff Jumper

29. CLIFF JUMPER

                     Everyone was screaming and running into the lake, the sight was a joy to see. People were splashing each other and guys were running around with water guns, chasing after the girls. Music was blasting and delicious smell of barbecue was lingering all around. The sun was hot and the sky was clear, it was probably the best summer Mystic Falls had ever had.

         You sat with Damon on beach towels, relaxing in sun with sun glasses on. Kai was surrounded by girls doing hand stands, to impress them.
                           "Either you're impressed? Which by the way would be so disgusting, or your waiting for him to fall flat on his face." Damon thought aloud, he had the tendency to do that whenever he wanted to piss you off.

         Damon called it stating his opinion but you called it downright obnoxious.  "Listen, I don't like Kai alright. So just shut up enjoy the sun." you scoff, completely pissed as you grabbed a magazine to read.

                  "Y/N! KAI'S LAYERING SOME BLONDE WITH SUN SCREEN!"

                  Your eyes quickly dart Kai's way, and Damon laughed his ass off. "Shit!" you murmured as Kai glared your way, slightly confused. A few people looked your way, and you felt your heart drop.

          You used your magazine to hide your face, as Damon continued laughed.
                "It's not funny. That was cruel Damon." you groaned, laying on your back and placing the magazine over your face. You felt so humiliated and just wanted to go back home.

                      Damon stood up, "C'mon let's go jump off a cliff or swing into the water from the rope." but you groaned loudly. "Just leave me here to burn." you whine, but he pulled you up by your arms.

           "Maybe some other time."

                             You sat up with your knees bent towards your chest, as Damon continued to try to pull you up. You decided to stand up and Damon gave you a piggy back ride, commenting on how you couldn't keep your eyes off Kai.

         Once you and Damon were at the small cliff where the rope was you began to chicken out. "I'm afraid of heights." you say, but Damon blocked your way every time you tried to leave.
                           "And I'm afraid of blood."
You cross your arms over your chest, "Please, Damon don't make me do this." you pout your lip out and flutter your eyes at him.
         He shakes his head, "Y/N, the puppy dog eyes aren't gonna work. No way." he chuckles.

                      Damon stares at you as you stare back at him, "You wanna know what that girl has and you don't?" and you tilt your head, "A brain?" and he laughs, "No.... balls."
        You frown slightly, "She doesn't have any balls, Damon. If girls had balls we would be guys." you state sarcastically.

                                 "Yeah guys with boobs." Damon reminds.

          "Your point?" you ask dryly.

                                 "My point? Well like I began to say is that she has balls and you don't. The only way your gonna get Kai's attention is if you something to get his attention." but you didn't understand why getting his attention this way mattered.
         Damon knew how to piss you off by saying what you didn't have the balls to do. What did he know? you thought, but you took deep breathe and  knew he was right.

                     "What better way to get somebody's attention than jumping off a cliff?" Damon grins, and you smile. You knew what he was saying, drawl everyone to the cliff since nobody was hardly here. Make people interested in jumping off the cliff because of you.

       Damon jumps down the small cliff and tosses the rope towards you, as you lean to grab it.
                      Once the rope is in your hands you step backwards slowly. You wait a few seconds and take in a deep breathe, then you run towards the end of the cliff. 

                               Damon watched as you swung and splash into the water. You were laughing as you screamed the whole way down, catching everyone's attention.
         People were shouting and cheering for you, you even heard someone scream, "Take your top off!" but you flipped him off.

        Kai was staring your way, smiling. You locked eyes with him and he turned away to continue throwing rocks along the waves, when you heard splashing.

                         Damon engulfed you into a bear hug, "Y/N, I'm so proud of you," he mumbles as he wrapped his arms around your waist. You giggled as he parted from you, "Go get him." Damon smiles, and with that said Damon ran off to find Elena.

       You stood in the water staring at Kai from afar, he continued to throw rocks. You ran towards him and just as he turned around, you kissed him which knocked both of you into the water.
