           KAI PARKER IMAGINES
39. WITCH PROJECTION PROGRAM 2/3

Song: Medicine by Daughter (better listening to when you talk to Damon in this imagine)

Previously: you meet Kai at the Boarding House. He says his coven is after him because he was playing to get a witch, to make him something that have him endless magic to siphon from. Kai needs you and Bonnie's help to project him, Damon disagrees.

Malachai helped you drag Damon into the basement, locking him up in a cell. He wanted to know why you were helping him, when Damon didn't want too. You refused to answer him, because it didn't matter.

"If you want me to help you, I suggest you stop ask questions." you warn. He nods, and follows you upstairs. Bonnie arrived with minutes of reviving your phone call, it was the only way you were going to get her at the house.
Bonnie was always up to helping you whenever you needed a spell done or needed advice. She was the only person within the group that actually made time for you, while others were busy with love or out off for revenge.

Ever since Bonnie had gotten back from the prison world she had been avoiding you. She wouldn't explain what had happened to her, not wanting you to worry about her.
The gang didn't make it any easier, they excluded you from everything. The only time you ever found out about something was when your life was on the line. All this super-natural stuff was nearly new to you, it didn't really make any sense.

But no matter how felt out you felt, Damon remembered you that it was all kept from you to protect you. But you wanted to know how being completely clueless living in a super-natural world; full of vampires, witches, hybrids and doppelgängers, was going to protect you.

The only way Bonnie would show up is if something tragic had happened.
So you used Damon's phone to text her that you had been attacked in the mansion and needed her to save you. Malachai suggested a better lie but you refused, thinking it sounded dramatic.

Malachai began to become anxious about Bonnie's appearance, walking back and fourth in the living room. When the doorbell rung his eyes flung at the door, and you quickly answered it.
There was no telling when the Gemini Coven would come, but you didn't want to wait too late.

When you opened the door and Bonnie saw that you were perfectly fine, she frowned. "I thought you were dying?"
Her brown eyes shifted from you and inside the living room, her eyes widened, "What is he doing here?" she questions, angrily.
"You mean Malachai?" and she looks as if she's about to panic when Malacahi approaches her.

      "Bonn--"

"Save it, Kai." she mutters, then she focuses on you. "Kai?"you murmur, glaring over at the Siphoner.
"Kai is short for Malachai." he says, and Bonnie stares at him. "Kai and I were trapped in the Prison World," she began, but Kai was giving her a pleading look. You hadn't noticed because you were focusing on Bonnie. But when Bon paused, you realized they weren't even looking your way.

"We aren't the best of friends." she mutters, her eyes flicker back to you.

"Listen, Bonnie, Y/N wouldn't have ever lied to get you here if it wasn't important. I know that in your eyes nothing I say or do, will ever make up for the hell I've put you through but I'm sorry." Kai mumbles, and he's genuine.
Bonnie clears her throat, awkwardly. "I'm only helping you because Y/N needs me."

Bonnie enters the mansion, as you close the front door. You and Kai meet her in the living room, you and her sat on the sofa. "What's going on?" she asks, as Kai stood hovering you two.
"I was searching for a witch who could make me an object, that allowed me to siphon a endless amount of magic..... Yada, Yada, Yada, the witch is dead and now my coven is after me." Kai sighs.

Bonnie exchanges looks at you, "I know a spell that has a purpose for things like keeping people away," she smiles weakly, you believed that it was Kai who had that kind of affect on her. "Since your a newbie witch, you can help me with his spell." and you nod in agreement, sitting with crossed legs and facing her.

"Alright, but we should hurry." you remind, knowing this wasn't time for witch class.

Bonnie and you used a spell similar to the cloaking spell, expect it was more powerful and could restrain more damage. You went down into the basement to check on Damon.

He  groaned in pain as he woke up furrowing his eyebrows in confusion. "I wasn't expecting that." he jokes, referring to you knocking him out. You were somewhat annoyed that Damon always underestimated you.

He grins at the sight of you, but you don't grin back. You were staring at your blue eyed boyfriend through the steel bars.
"I'm sorry Damon but it had to be done." you claim, dryly.

"Actually, honey, it didn't have to. You could've just let that little bastard die like he was suppose too." there he was again, trying to overpower you as if were powerless.
"Stop treating me like I'm incapable of handling things on my own!" you shout, stepping away from the cell door. You tired to control your anger and not let it spiral out of control, but Damon had that kind of affect on you.

"I get the feeling this isn't about Kai, is it?" Damon stands up and looks at you through the steel bars.
"Did you ever think for a second that there was a reason why he came to you out of all people?" you question hysterically. But Damon sneers in response, not even wanting to acknowledge answering your statement thoughtfully.

"Because he fucking thinks he can trust you, that you'll spare his life!" you exclaim, balling your hands into fist. Damon wasn't sure how to response, he hardly ever saw you this pissed.
"Because people change you know, Damon. You just have to have faith in them." you whisper, feeling exhausted after your mini rant. "Y/N, I get it. You wanted me to spare Kai's life, see him as who he is trying to be and not as who he was. Because that's what I did for you and it's what you did for me. But there's more than that kind of acceptation you want him receive from others, isn't there?"

You understood what your boyfriend was saying, that the 'more than that kind of acceptation you wanted him to receive from others' was people accepting your feelings for Kai.

You feel as its hard to breathe, "Is it wrong to fall madly in love with someone, within the first few hours of knowing them?" you walk up to the cell, staring at Damon.
"No, it's completely normal. I feel in love with you within the first seconds of laying my eyes on you..... What really matters when that occurs is if it'll last. If the love is mutual and compatible."

He lowers his head, "Our love isn't mutual is it?" he mumbles softly, meeting
your eyes. You wanted to tell Damon yes, that the love between you and him was mutual. You and him had been through thick and thin, but it wasn't true.
"No," you say honestly. "But it wasn't like I never loved you, because I did. I guess I knew what I wanted at the time; love, and adventure, but I didn't know who was the right person to receive those things from. Is it wrong to love someone for such a short amount of time, and then move on?"

Damon shakes his head, "No... I know exactly what you mean."
