|🌟|Neteyam POV:

- I felt the tension in the air, as I prepared some fruit salad for Tuk before Father could drop her off today, I was surprised to see him this morning when I woke up, I thought it was Lo'ak in the bathroom but apparently, he was not, dad opened the door and suddenly raised an eyebrow at the mess of hair I had and well the pretty visible eyebags, he didn't question me on it, so I didn't talk with him either,

I packed everything for her and neatly put it in her back, she gave me a small hug and followed Father outside, I closed the door and sat down at the table to eat my breakfast peacefully, or well I was until the sudden air around the table with me, Lo'ak and Kiri felt different today, tight, and cold, like a lot of morning breakfasts for some time now, when the three of us remained to eat, but the thing is, now I knew why it was so tense.

Lo'ak sat in front of me, Kiri by his side both of them ate their meal, I looked down at my plate instead and didn't look at them, I carefully played with the fruits setting some on the side.

I barely could eat, I felt my throat ache almost like the air around me which I inhaled was dropping and solidifying inside of me, not letting any other way for me to breathe normally, I couldn't eat, I just couldn't,

" So, Rotxo told me, that you and Tsireya discussed. " I heard Kiri talk, which somewhat calmed the tension a bit. At least I could breathe, no questions asked, no one to pressure me, and I was hungry.

" Oh! Yeah, we did " Lo'ak answered, I felt even happier, if they talked their own thing maybe they could forget I was even at this table, " I didn't know you guys fought- you never told us anything " Kiri continued, I wanted to comment on that, but I am very much the last person to do so, " About that- I was well filled with emotions, it was our thing to deal with not yours " Lo'ak continued, a bit bitter at the end, nothing special he usually talks with everyone around him angrily, it's a unique trait, really,

" Don't light up, dummy. I am serious. It's not a big deal to have feelings in that way for someone, you know? " She added again. I was still very much looking at my plate and listened to the conversation. I mean, I would listen to anything right now rather than my own thoughts.

" I don't have feelings for her. " He responded harshly, Kiri laughed and I heard an apple slice fly towards Lo'ak, I am very much used to that kind of sound, " Don't make me splash my cup of water on you now, fire boy, Tsireya is nice I like her, and maybe she could be the water drop to put out the fire mess you are " She joked softly with him, Lo'ak replied, " Very funny, It doesn't matter what I feel or not, it's her choice. "

" Her choice to what? "

" You know. To start anything with me "

" So you already want that, I see " Lo'ak punched her shoulder as I finally had some bravery to look up and not nose my very much full plate, Kiri laughed softly as Lo'ak frowned rather embarrassed with Kiri's humor, she definitely was happier now since she became a thing with Rotxo, " It's complicated, and after all, it's my business, eat your breakfast! " Lo'ak snapped at her in a more of a playful way, Kiri didn't add anything else as she began to eat as well, I wanted to let out a big sigh, but instead I took a big mental one and finally ate something, it felt like heaven to eat peacefully.

I ate a few bites enjoying the salad that I prepared myself, I am quite a good cooker if you ask me, I hardly eat the food I make if I'm not cooking for multiple people.

The silence was everything I needed right now since a conversation happened, I knew Lo'ak didn't have in mind to join in and ask about the subject I roughly avoided, so everything was perfect, right?

Until Kiri matched my peace of eating, eating slower, she glanced at the window behind her raised an eyebrow, and suddenly spoke, " The sun is fully out and Neteyam is still home, that's new, " I felt a piece of orange get stuck down my throat as she looked my way and then glanced at Lo'ak, he swallowed what he has just munched and rather looked back at his plate as I instantly eyed my plate instead, so I didn't see what they did or look at, after that.
