I wiped my forehead with the back of my hand carefully. Sweats kept coming from my face like falls. I was slicing the bread making a French toast peacefully but it was cut off when I heard someone knocked on my door and Leighton surprised me with his early presence in front of my apartment.

That's why I was sweating because he's just watching me doing my whole breakfast thing because he didn't want to disappear in front of me. It's still seven in the morning and very early that he's here.

He said he hadn't had breakfast yet so I was making breakfast for two.

I silently prayed that one of my younger sisters came. It's not yet too late for them to come. They could have breakfast here just so I could have someone to set my distraction to and not to Leighton.

Good thing I was pregnant, that way, I could act as slow as turtle because of my heavy belly. After slicing the bread, I raised my hand over the frying pan to feel the heat. I felt the rising heat and that's my cue to put the olive oil on it.

My eyes landed on him when I saw him shifted on his seat. He looked bored and ready to say something irksome. The veins on his both arms bulged over when he crossed them against his wide chest.

The sight of him made me wonder how our boy looked like when he grew up. I'd wager he'd look like his father. Tall and dangerously handsome.

I cleared my throat as I looked away from him. I should focus on cooking.

It's been a couple of weeks since we left that villa in Lemery. And it's also been weeks since he's showering me with his presence everyday.

Unfortunately for pregnant women, seatbelts and seats weren't made for them. I tried once to sit on the driver's seat but because of my growing baby in my belly, hindi na ako nakaka-adjust at tumatama pa yung tiyan ko sa manibela.

"I'll go get it. Don't leave your cooking." utos niya saka tumayo mula sa stool.

He opened the door but he blocked the guest by leaving the door ajar with his body in between.

"You're not allowed to get in, go, go home!"

"But I want to talk to your baby mama because I want to ask her—"

"They live separately! She's not living with her older sister!"

"But still, I want to ask so don't block the door and let me in."

I saw Easton tilting his head to look at me with a playful grin on his face.

"Hi Santi! Didn't know that you and my brother are practicing living together. Did he propose to you already, because I think I'm hearing wedding bells." Then he played the wedding hymn.
