Sage, Leaf, Blue and Red gathered at the entrance of Pallet Town as each of them was getting ready to set out on their adventure.
The morning sun cast a golden glow over the town and the distant sounds of wild Pokémon in the tall grass made Sage's heart beat faster as she glanced at her friends as she knew that each of them had their own dreams.
Leaf wanted to become a Pokémon doctor, Sage herself was determined to become a Pokémon Master, Blue had his sights on being the strongest trainer in the world and Red was searching for clues about his missing father.
Just as they were about to take their first steps out of town a familiar voice called out to them as they turned around to see Daisy Oak walking towards them as expression was both determined and serious.
Blue's eyes widened in surprise as his usual cocky smirk was replaced with a rare look of curiosity.
Daisy? What are you doing here?" Blue asked as he was eyeing the six Poké Balls on Daisy belt with surprise.
Daisy stopped in front of them as her gaze lingered on each of them before she spoke.
I'm heading out of Pallet Town too. There's something I need to study something that might be dangerous and I wanted to let you all know that if things get intense, I might need your help" Daisy said seriously.
Sage felt a chill run down her spine as Daisy was known for her calm and confident nature so hearing her talk about something potentially dangerous made the situation feel real.
Sage nodded, feeling a sense of duty.
We'll be ready, Daisy" Sage said.
With a small smile, Daisy nodded and continued on her way as she disappeared down the path toward Viridian City.
Blue scoffed as if he brushing off any worry.
Well, I don't have time to worry about her. I'll catch you all later—if you can keep up" Blue said as turned and strode off as his Squirtle followed close behind.
Red silently adjusted his cap and gave a small nod to Sage and Leaf and walked down the path without a word.
Leaf grinned and turned to Sage.
Race you to the end of Route 1! And let's have our first battle there, too!" Leaf said excitedly.
Sure" Sage said as Leaf smiled and left pallet town as Sage looked at her charmander as their adventures was about to begin.
