Sage waved goodbye to Officer Jenny as she escorted the captured Team Rocket grunts back to Pewter City as Sage had grown close to the officer during her adventure in Mt. Moon and she was grateful for the support Officer Jenny had given her.
She called out Pidgeotto who helped her fly out of the deep hole they had fallen into during the commotion with Team Rocket as Sage landed back down on the ground gracefully as Sage gave her trusty Pidgeotto a grateful pat before recalling it back to its Poké Ball.
After a few minutes of walking, Sage finally emerged from the rocky depths of Mt. Moon and found herself on Route Four.

Sage looked at Route four in awe as the rain had begun to fall lightly creating a refreshing mist in the air as she took in the lush green landscape around her as in the distance she could see the outline of Cerulean City where her next challenge awaited.
Misty the Water-type Gym Leader who was also a model as Sage decided to do some training with her Pokemon since she learnt from Brock that gym leaders are no jokes.
Taking out her Poké Balls she released each of her Pokémon one by one.
Butterfree, Pidgeotto, Charmeleon, Pikachu, Eevee and her newest companion, Squirtle, appeared before her as Squirtle looked around curiously as it's eyes sparkled in wonder as it took in it's surroundings.
Alright, everyone," Sage said as she clapped her hands.
Let's do some training since we got a Water Gym to prepare for and I know Misty's not going to make things easy for us" Sage said.
Sage looked down at her new Pokemon Squirtle as the little Pokémon looked up at her with curious eyes as it was ready to show its potential as Sage took a moment to check its moves as she used her Rotom Phone.

Aqua Jet is pretty useful" Sage said as she couldn't wait until Squirtle evolves.
With a determined smile, Sage decided to put Squirtle to the test as she sent out Butterfree as her reliable bug type Pokémon that had already shown its strength in battle and would be perfect sparing partner for Squirtle.
Squirtle and Butterfree looked each other as they were both ready for a training session that would push them to their limits.
Alright, Squirtle. Let's see what you've got" Sage said as she gave her two team members a thumbs up.
The two Pokémon took their positions and the training began.
Squirtle use Bite!" Sage called out.
Squirtle charged forward with it's small teeth glowing as it clamped down on Butterfree who winced slightly.
Butterfree, counter with Confusion!" Sage commanded.
Butterfree's eyes glowed blue as it sent a wave of psychic energy at Squirtle as the turtle Pokémon skidded back but quickly recovered.
Nice job, Squirtle!" Sage encouraged.
Now try Aqua Jet!" Sage said.
Squirtle surrounded itself with a swirling current of water and shot forward at incredible speed and striked Butterfree with precision.
Butterfree wobbled in the air as it was clearly impressed by the strength of Squirtle's attack.
Sage smiled as she saw the improvements in both her Pokémon, but as the battle continued, she felt a buzzing from her Rotom Phone. She pulled it out and saw that a notification had come through for Butterfree.
Let's check this out," Sage said as she tapped the screen as the notification read:

Whoa!" Sage exclaimed as looked over the new moves.
Looks like Butterfree's got some new tricks up her sleeve" Sage said excitedly.
Sage knew that Butterfree knew moves would be useful for the upcoming battle as she was extremely excited to get her new gym badge.
