Sage's Rotom Phone buzzed and immediately scanned the Pokémon and displayed its information.
Fletchling - A Normal/Flying type Pokémon. Known for its speed and fiery passion, Fletchling is a highly agile and resilient fighter.
Intrigued, Sage approached the trainer, who noticed her and smiled.
Hey there!" the trainer called out. "My name's Naomi and I'm a trainer from Kalos. Who are you?"
I'm Sage Parker and I'd love to battle you for the Key Stone," Sage replied confidently as shw was eager to test her skills and earn the Key stone.
A challenge for a Key Stone, huh? Alright, let's make this interesting. How about a two-on-two battle?" Naomi asked with a smile.
You're on!" Sage said with a determined smile.
With that, Sage sent out Espeon and Naomi call upon her Fletchling as the small bird Pokémon perched in front of her as it was ready to fight.
Espeon, let's do this!" Sage said as her voice was full of determination.
Use Psychic Ball!" Sage called out.
Espeon's eyes glowed a deep purple as it formed a ball of psychic energy in front of it and launched the orb towards Fletchling.
Naomi's eyes widened as she quickly said.
Fletchling use Quick Attack to dodge!" Naomi called out
Fletchling darted to the side at lightning speed as it narrowly avoiding the psychic blast.
Espeon use Sand Attack!" Sage said with a smirk.
Espeon kicked up sand from the deck and sent it toward Fletchling as the bird Pokémon tried to avoid the sand but a few grains struck it, lowering its accuracy.
Fletchling, don't let that stop you! Use Flame Charge!" Naomi said as she was hoping to out speed Espeon.
Fletchling rushed forward, its body engulfed in flames as it charged straight at Espeon.
Espeon, dodge and use Hyper Voice!" Sage said quickly.
Espeon gracefully leaped out of the way of the fiery attack and unleashed a blast of sound from its mouth as the sonic waves hit Fletchling point-blank, sending the bird Pokémon crashing into a nearby wall.
Naomi gasped, her face pale. "Fletchling!" she exclaimed as she rushed over to check on her Pokémon.
Sage was about to speak when her Rotom Phone buzzed again as she looked at the screen and was surprised to see Espeon's moves had been updated.
Espeon now knows: Psychic Ball, Zen Headbutt, Sand Attack, Hyper Voice and Swift as Confusion has been replaced by Zen Headbutt.
Wow," Sage murmured as she was impressed as she quickly turned her attention back to the battle.
Fletchling use Flame Charge again!" Naomi called out.
Fletchling, though injured, charged toward Espeon once more as the bird Pokemon was surrounded by flames
Espeon use Zen Headbutt!" Sage shouted.
Espeon's head began to glow with psychic energy as it charged forward and met Fletchling's Flame Charge head-on as the two attacks collided but Espeon's psychic strength overwhelmed Fletchling's fiery assault.
Fletchling was sent flying backward and crashed to the ground, fainting from the force of the blow.
Naomi's expression fell, and she recalled her Pokémon. "Alright, I still have one more left. I hope you're ready for my ace!"
Sage smiled confidently, her heart pounding in excitement. She knew this battle wasn't over yet.
