Sage stepped out of the Cerulean City Pokémon Center as she was smiling at her creativity as she had three custom technical machines and she couldn't wait to teach them to her Pokemon team.
Espeon was standing next to Sage as Sage pulled out the Technical Machine Psychic Ball which in Sage opinion would be something powerful for Espeon to learn.
Espeon time for you to learn something amazing" Sage said as she put the TM next to Espeon and as the psychic Pokemon touched the technical machine causing it to shatter as Espeon has now learn Psychic Ball.
Rotom Phone buzzed as it showed Espeon's updated move set:

Confusion
Swift
Sand Attack
Psychic Ball
With these moves, Espeon, you're unstoppable!" Sage said excitedly.
As she reviewed her team's moves, Sage paused at Butterfree's name. Butterfree had been a faithful companion and Sage had been thinking for awhile maybe it's time to retire Butterfree and make room for another Pokemon in the future.

Sage pulled out her Rotom Phone as she decided to call Professor Oak as Sage was holding Butterfree's Poké Ball in her hands as the professor's face appeared on the screen.
Ah, Sage!" Professor Oak greeted warmly.
How's your journey going? I see you've earned another badge and on that note how is your team doing!" Professor Oak asked curiously.
My journey is going great, my team are getting strong and I even created some technical machines but lately, I've been thinking about my team and I want to catch new Pokémon so i was wondering if Butterfree could stay with you?" Sage asked.
Professor Oak nodded understandingly.
Of course, Sage. Butterfree will be well taken care of here and I actually have a solution for trainers like you" Professor Oak said as he showed Sage several empty ranches.
I manage several ranches for retired Pokémon so they can roam freely and play so If you'd like, I could assign you a personal ranch and any Pokémon you decide to retire from your team can live there together" Professor Oak said.
Really? That would be amazing! Butterfree deserves a place where it can be happy and free" Sage said excitedly.
It's settled, then. Send Butterfree over using the PC System on your Rotom Phone or Pokemon center and I'll make sure Butterfree is well cared for and you can even visit your ranch when you're in Pallet Town" Professor Oak said.
Sage thanked him before ending the call.

Sage held Butterfree Pokéball close to her chest as Sage remembered all the times she had with Butterfree as Sage was glad she caught Butterfree when it's was just a caterpie.
Thank you, Butterfree everything" Sage said as pointed her Rotom Phone at Butterfree Pokéball and as red light began scanning the Pokéball until it disappeared.
I'll promise to come visit you Butterfree" Sage said with a warm smile as she looked up at the sky as she was wondering what's next for her team.
